This inverter powers my whole little house and has been doing a remarkable job of it for three years. The loads include window A/C, Clothes washer, microwave, refrigerator, two chest freezers in addition to my shop loads including 3/4 HP bench grinder,large drill press, chop saws, air compressor etc. Only problem was the cooling fan which I replaced [for $12.00]. This despite BAD lightning storms on this hilltop that hit several times a year and burn out electronics. I have never before had an inverter last for over 9 months and am proud to recommend to you this Wagan EL3744 which will keep you on line for a trouble free power source!!

I ran our Mig Welder with this thing, love not hearing the generator anymore.UPDATE 04/29/2022 - Ran a core drill long enough to core one hole then quit, after searching found a SMOKED 250Amp fuse, melted the plastic it was housed in, Thought i better reach out to the factory and check the size of the fuse required, called factory, recording -"tech support not available and the voice mail is full" so NO on the tech support. worked great up until it didn't. I will update if i do get a hold of the factory.

This product does not do what it is advertised that it will do. Because of covid-19 i could not try to use it until 7-15-2020. Where i intended to use it is 430 miles from from my permanent home with no communaction access. It will not even run a small water pump and rv refrig on the recommended batteries. Runs the harbor freight 125 amp mig welder without a hiccup, no other inverter of the same wattage we tried, would do it continuously like this one does!!
