If you are looking for replacement coolant for your classic VW then look no further. This meets the spec for the classic ‘blue’ VW G11 coolant and has gone into our Mk1 golf gti and Corrado G60 with no issues whatsoever. The newer G12, G12+ and G13 coolants are apparently compatible with these models but are the alternative type ‘pink’ coolant. This means they will react with older G11 spec ‘blue’ coolant and cause sludge in your system which could cause blockages or issues with your water pump, not to mention degradation of rubber hoses etc. Stick with this stuff for hassle free OEM performance.

This is the only product I use for my water cooled motorcycle engines, Been using it for some years, it's the best on the market,in my opinion.

So this item is perfect for Mercs (the main dealer confirmed this).The only issue that I had here was there is no seal behind the cap so be careful when opening it! Usually antifreeze comes with a seal you have to pierce behind the cap, this didn't which ended up in me spilling a load of it all over my hands when opening it as the cap is on quite tough.
