This is my favorite modern interpretation of the venerable Marseille tarot tradition.The overall design is eloquently distinguished and accentuated by a sophisticated earth tone color palate which imparts a very unique and pleasing perspective to the deck.There is a dominance of dark teals, tans, browns, burgundy and just the right hints of occasional graphite which are eloquently applied to the various images, that pleasantly infuse a sense of calm that draws the reader in, as opposed to the vibrant primary colors that can sometimes be exhausting.The card stock is admirable and their other offerings of historical decks seem to offer a great deal of value.The packaging, or more specifically the box designs are well suited to a contemporary sensibility and would look very smart on any coffee table, if that sort of thing matters to you.Apparently it does matter to a great many people nowadays, whether they will admit or not, that undercurrent of urbane tarot chic evidenced by the proliferation of hand carved Zen-inspired reading tables and other must have accoutrement.

Good quality cards in a nice sturdy box. Very happy with this deck.

I love the paper and feel of these cards, and I love how the skin tone of the characters has a nice shade compared to other Marseille variations

This is the authentic Tarot de Marseille deck. I have used it for over thirty years, it got old, I replaced it but now I am overjoyed to find the original images again. I did my first reading with this dock today and could not be happier with it, colors, consistency, touch, weight, etc. Very, very well crafted. Thank you.

This is a great quality deck, produced on supple yet sturdy card. It’s great to have a reproduction of the Grimaud Marseilles available, as this is one of the more famous editions (along with the Conver). The blue on the faces of the cards is admittedly quite a bit darker than the picture suggests, but this doesn’t affect the overall quality or warmth of the images.The plain backs are nice too—neutral and appropriate for this sort of reproduction. If you are into squaring and distressing your decks, this deck would be ideal for that sort of aging.
