Excellent annotations
The print is awfully small to fit it all in.

Helped me find my purpose in life
Realized that if I have the time to read this piece of garbage I have enough time to learn a useful skill. I am now a employed software engineer.

Greatest Novel of all time, And that there will ever exist subsequently
Its a novel from James Joyce, the greatest writer in English. The scholarship behind the annotation is excellent. The problem is the font is on the small side and the paper is not of fantastic quality. another movement to consider is the annotaters could have included the homeric Greek rather than just elborating on the phonetic pronunciation. On the other hand, the annotations are convenient as it is. Either way, James Joyce is a must read, if this edition is not intellectually satisfying there are other editions that may be more suitable, this edition is simply more convenient as oppossed to the proecess of maintaining two books, one a Random House edition or whatever and the other book being a more thorough and extensively annotated guide. At any rate, this edition is recomendable, if for no other reason than to have a mobile and light weight version to carry for enjoyment. Moreover, for serious study, I would recommend a copy with slightly larger print, and an excellent annotated guide of some kind.

Most useful
Among the many editions of this modernist classic, which began appearing in serialized form in 1918 and was first published as a book by Sylvia Beach in 1922, this annotated edition may be the most useful one for the beginning or intermediate reader. Don't worry if you haven't read Homer's original in Greek, here you'll learn everything you need about the modern Ulysses called Leopold Bloom, his Penelope with the name of Molly, and Telemachus, who reappears as Stephen Dedalus, known from another one of Joyce's books. It helps if you the reader have a sense of humor, if you like puns and parodies, and are not afraid of chains of thoughts expressed in a stream of consciousness sentences. If you get a bit tired of reading the book yourself (yes, the printing is a bit small), wait until June 16 (any year), the annual Bloomsday, when somewhere in your neighborhood, on the radio, tv or the Internet, a slew of expert readers will read it aloud for you. Enjoy!

Bon courage!

Ni. Da adulta l’ho riletto - in parte, a scatti - in inglese. Boh.
