HOMCOM Kitchen Trolley Utility Cart on Wheels with Storage Shelves & Drawer for Dining Room, Oak

I have bought Homcom self assembly furniture before and the products have always been fairly easy to assemble with few problems, I had hoped it would the case with this item too. Unfortunately I was wrong.I am not going to be using this item for it's intended purpose. I will be using this to store my personal tattoo kit, there's enough space & height in the draw to store inks or guns and power-packed, shelves for accessories like gloves & wipes and the cupboard is big enough to store various bottles and chemicals.It is a nice looking sturdy piece of kit for the price and I have decided to keep it, but it has quite a few errors & anomolies which I have noted in my photos, on the instructions and below.Firstly, when I got all the parts out, one of the metal tabs that should be welded in place had become detached in transit (photo), not a good start, though all the parts - plus a few spares - were present. The metal draw sliders that I got are sealed units, so I couldn't attach half of it to the sides of the unit and the other half to the sides of the draw (photos), as it says to do in the instructions. Consequently because the sliders are sealed, only 2 of the 3 fixing holes can be used on each piece, but it appears to work OK, it's just a bit of a pain to fit the draw in.The broken tab is a fixing hole for the side piece, but it's assembled fine without it and I've strengthened it further by adding some clear hard setting glue/sealant to both sides.The bottom shelf is not level, like the other two shelves are, the front is 2mm higher than the back, so I will add a piece to the back of the unit to stop things rolling out the back of it. Realistically, the shelves should extend to the edge of the back and rather than just a backing over the cupboard area, the backing panel should cover all of the back of the unit.I have complained and sent the seller a message and I'm waiting for a satisfactory response - so I hope they read this and see my photos.If you like the look of this, please bear in mind that when it's built it is a nice bit of kit, but you will need patience and about 2 hours to get it done. Thankfully I have the time and I enjoy a challenge - and this certainly was a challenge - but its not beaten me.

I can't lie, this product is brilliant now its up. However the assembly is difficult. The sliders for the drawer do not match the instructions and it took a long old search to find the solution on the Internet. Took far too long to get my head around the instructions and it's not like I haven't assembled flat pack before.Once it's up, brilliant and sturdy product that I would recommend.

If I had read other reviews first I would never have bought this item, a lot of them say its difficult to put together, im a woman who lives on her own and I put it together in 2 hours, its so simple, parts where I did get a bit confused I just looked at the Completed photo on amazon and worked it out from there, it's a brilliant cabinet, very sturdy and looks the part

First of all you need very short screwdriver to assemble this unitSpanner made of aluminium that warps instantlyScrews for handles too short and wasn't able to use themQuality of screws very bad and wear off very quickly.Took more than 4h and huge amount of patience. After this experience even Bob the builder will turn into Wreck it Ralph.Would not recommend unless you have good set of tools and plenty spare screws.

The instruction is not so clear for installation.But the product is good itself.

Arrived day early so a great start, easy to put up, seems fairly solid, i like the metal frame, as i was looking around and couldn't find many that have a metal frame.

Reasonable to assemble very strong and is exactly as advertised very pleased with the product if needed I would certainly buy it again. Very Happy customer.
