On the whole, I do like these, but I've had a couple that I've used to hang my shirts on, and the bottom bardisconnected from the sides. I'd buy more if they were still the original price I paid of $19, but these have steadily increased in price and frankly they aren't worth the 35 they are being sold at the time of this writing.

This review is for the  20-Pack Solid Wooden Hanger, Royalhanger Non-Slip Wood Suit Hangers for Heavy Coat, Dress and Jacket,Walnut Finish  - Manufacturing quality is iffy. Only 10 out of 20 hangers had no significant issues (see below). Another 5 hangers are useable but had some problem with their construction, and I wouldn't allow children or guests to handle them, so they won't be used to hang guests coats. Three of the hangers had edges sharp enough to cut skin, and damage clothing.Two issues were found with 10 out of 20 of these hangers, each hanger had one or both of these issues:* Pants bar affixed far enough off-center of hanger for sharp edge to stick out. Some could cut skin or damage clothing.* Edges of U-shaped notch are sharp enough to cut skin (especially a child's finger) or damage clothing.Notes: There was also some splintering on some hangers where the pants bar was affixed to the hanger. It looks like the splintering had been trimmed a bit on these hangers, but it still existed. This is poor quality control, but it wasn't a significant problem and didn't exist on most of the hangers, and wasn't likely to introduce splinters to fingers, though it might scratch thin fabric that passes over it.On one hanger there was a sharp point sticking out of one of the mounting holes on the pants bar. It was sharp, and felt hard enough I thought it was part of a thin metal nail, but I was able to scratch it off and it seems like a hard piece of wood.. It could have cut skin or damaged clothing if I hadn't removed it, but it was easily removed and I don't count it as a problem, but I'm also glad it didn't cut my hand when removing the hangers from the box.If only 3 or fewer of these hangers had these problems, I would have given 3 stars. If none of these hangers had these problems, I would have given 4 stars. The usable hangers are nice and functional enough out of the box for 4 stars. Seeing manufacturing/quality control issues with 50% of the hangers only rates 2 stars.While the usable hangers are nice, if all 20 arrived without quality control issues, they're still cheaply made (which I expected for the price) and don't qualify for a 5 start product rating.

I wish I bought more of these when they were on sale! The only way the price is moving for this product is going to be straight up. These are very strong and formidable hangers.The box these arrived in wasn't really that outstanding, but it was what was on the inside that matters I told myself. I was, with glee, mesmerized with the time it must have took to put these clothes hangers in the box. There are two hangers per each layer, and each hanger opposes the other in a mirror like fashion such that the two hangers form a square. There were ten layers. Each layer was separated by a protective cloth-thing-Styrofoam-cushion-heaven, to include the very top and very bottom.These are very rich in color and they do have the same shine and sheen as seen in the pictures. If you do buy theses don't just buy one set of twenty. Take an honest inventory of how many hanging clothes you have and add twenty for GP. For me, anyways, there isn't much of anything else that badgers my noodle than non-uniform items for a uniform job.I'm very happy with this purchase and will gladly pay the extra little money to purchase another set of twenty.

The plastic cover on the crossbar gave off an unpleasant vinegar smell that finally went away two weeks after I bought them. The mfgr emailed me after I left my first review (this is an edited version) to offer me a refund and ask my help in identifying the specific problem so that they could fix it with their supplier. I declined the refund since the hangers are fine now. And I've upgraded my rating from 1 to 3 stars because: the hangers are well-constructed; they are least expensive among similar hangers; the smell went away eventually; the seller is addressing the problem; and other reviewers haven't had the problem. So just be aware that you'll get a good deal on these, but may have to let them air out for a couple weeks.

I bought these along with one other set of wooden hangers which cost $12 more for the same quantity. Of course, the more expensive ones were nicer - they have a much smoother finish and better looking wood grain. These are still nice quality, so I use them in my coat closet, and I ordered more of the other hangers for my primary closet.

After reading some of the other reviews, I expected to have to use febreeze or something similar in case there was an odor. Either I got lucky or the company solved this situation. There was no foul odor at all! These hangars look great, and seem to be very well made! I'm considering purchasing more in the near future! Great product at a great price!

Great addition to my closet. At first, paying for hangers seems a bit excessive, we all have more wire and cardboard tube hangers than our homes can hold. recycle them, ask your cleaners to take them back. This is the way to store your clothes if you hang them up. I like them.

Pretty good hangers, only wish they had a little wider end for suits and bigger clothing articles. Good buy though
