FINALLY A SILICONE RING DONE RIGHT FOR PEOPLE WITH AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE!
Before finding Barbell Bands I wasted $$$hundreds on 6 different highly-rated silicone rings from popular brands that were ALL DUDS when put to real use. Unlike the Barbell Band, they got shredded up from my activities either because they were too thin, not good quality, or they too easily got snagged on things. (I wonder: do product reviewers even put products through their paces before giving a 5 star review???)Well, I've been wearing my Barbell Band for 5 weeks straight, and I can now say: FINALLY SOMEONE DID A SILICONE RING RIGHT FOR PEOPLE WITH AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE!!!I normally don't write reviews, but I think my writeup below will be helpful to you folks trying to find the "RIGHT" silicone ring:If you're like me, you already have a primary wedding ring made of gold/platinum/etc.I LOVE my gold ring, but it doesn't function well, isn’t comfortable, and ISN'T SAFE at the gym, playing sports, running a spartan race, venturing out in the wilderness, doing construction, using machinery, playing an instrument, or doing weekend warrior activities. For those active lifestyle occasions I want something that still says "I'm proudly married" but keeps my fingers SAFE, fits COMFORTABLY, is DURABLE, and totally FASHIONABLE. In theory a silicone ring really solves this problem, but I've learned the hard way that you've gotta find one that can stand up to an active lifestyle. Why is having DURABILITY important? So that you're ring doesn't get all chewed up whenever you do some REAL activity. It can't be overstated... most of the silicone rings on the market just SUCK when you get them out in the real world. Here's what the Barbell Band has stood up to: over 5 weeks of thick rope climbs/slams, kettlebell swings, pull ups, jump roping, hot yoga, hiking & using fallen branches as walking sticks, climbing trees, playing football, the batting cages, swinging a golf club, hot tubbing, cooking, changing diapers, and acting stupid on the skate park with my son (yes, my hand got a little chewed up, but my Barbell Band stayed in top form). Why is having a comfortable ring important? Because you don't want your ring getting in the way or bothering you while you're active. The thinner rings I tried definitely felt comfortable, but they lacked durability. And the THICK rings were more durable but less safe (because they would catch on things too easily) - plus they were uncomfortable as h***. The Barbell Band is thin and comfortable around the edges, yet thick and durable where it needs to be. Clearly the people at Barbell Bands put design sense and quality manufacturing into this ring. Kudos!Oh, and by the way, the fit is important to comfort here. In buying silicone rings I've learned to buy them a bit smaller than my gold ring. Why? Because, unlike gold rings, the silicone stretches a bit - so you can easily get it over your knuckle, and if it's a little too tight on your finger you can stretch it a bit to get a good comfortable fit. What you DON'T want is it being so loose that they slip off during activities. I wear a 9.5 sized gold ring, but I bought the Men's Size 9 - it fits wonderfully. And how about fashion? With my Barbell Band I get asked all the time - "Cool ring, where'd you get it?" The texture, styling, balance, and color (I bought Metal Grey) are extremely well crafted. I was struggling between getting the metal grey and black, but now I'm so impressed with the Barbell Band brand that I'm going to buy a second ring in black so I can have 2 in my arsenal! (Note my comments below about choosing darker colors when buying silicone rings). How might they improve the Barbell Band? So far, for me it's PERFECT. But I was experienced and got a darker color (metal grey) in a size that fits. If I would vote on one thing, I would tell silicone ring companies to stop selling lighter color rings. I've learned that lighter silicone rings can show more dirt in the crevices. It doesn't matter the brand - ALL lighter color silicone rings will show more dirt and blemishes - especially if you are active. For all of you considering buying ANY brand of silicone ring you'll want to strongly consider sticking to darker colors.Well, there you have it my fellow active life silicone ring buyers. It used to be I'd take my ring off to do many of my life activities... now with Barbell Bands I never take it off - ahem - except for when I put back on my gold ring for date nights with my wonderful wife :)

Best yet
I have tried a variety of silicone rings, from the cheap 5 pack to the overpriced 40+ dollars single ones but I always end up wearing this brand. Not too soft or too stiff. Doesn't snags nearly as much like others do.

Plan to replace yearly, but happy to buy again.
Have worn this ring at work for the past 10 months. I'm very happy with the fit and the aesthetic. It is more solid than most other silicone rings I've encountered, but it also rolls less under my finger than other rings (at least when it was new and snug). It has stretched out a bit, but not probably more than other silicone rings I've worn. The knurling looks cool when it's new. And eventually the ring becomes smooth. I do quite a bit of barbell and pull up bar work in this ring and I wear it 24/7 at home and at work. It doesn't come off anymore when I'm at home. Fairly true to size when it was new, maybe a hair snug. When it was brand new the fit was better than any other silicone ring I've owned. Likely it wore out faster (as you can see in the photo) because I found it to be more comfortable than my metal band. So I only wear it now.Even though it is objectively worn out within 10 months, I will replace it with another one of the same. At under $20 it is way cheaper than a loss of work due to injury from a metal equivalent. I would recommend this to other firefighters and strength coaches.

Great wedding band alternative for weightlifting/healthcare
I've bought a few different silicone rings over the last few months and Barbell Bands is by far the most durable. It fits great and looks great (the design makes the ring look a lot nicer than most other glossy-flat silicone rings that look cheap). I work in healthcare and this was an excellent alternative to my traditional gold band. Firm, but flexible enough to not cause issues. I can wear it at the gym without issue too (no pinching when deadlifting, benching, etc). It's somewhat pricier than other silicone rings on the market but it's worth every penny so far. I've had mine for a few months and have beaten the heck out of it at the gym and it doesn't have a scratch. I definitely recommend it!
