The reason I spent twice the price compared to other competing products, was that the tab was pictured at the rear. Unfortunately like the others, this also has the tab at the front. Personally I think it's illogical to have a tab at all, but at the front it can interfere with placement into a holster and frankly not a good place to have to get ahold of it if you have to take it off quickly. At the rear it's likely to get easily bumped, knocked off and possibly lost, although better to remove it quickly with your thumb. That said, it is not needed at all and imo should be removed. This can be done reasonably cleanly with scissors. It fits well enough to stay on but is easily removed. The rubber is thick enough to flick the rear edge lip with your thumb to remove it. Otherwise, functions fine though if you have a solor cell you'll probably want to consider also cutting the top out so it can charge. There's a similar competing product with this feature. These should be designed with a score line so it can be easily punched out.

I received my scope cover today, three days earlier than expected, which is a big plus. The scope cover covers my optic like a glove. Easy to put on and take off. It seems to be made from a rubber which isn’t that durable hence the three stars for durability. This cover will protect from dust but not from being banged around. I’m satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend.
