I use a Drinkwell Stainless Multi-Pet Fountain with a Reusable Filter for Drinkwell 360 + 3-month Supply of Carbon. These carbon pellets work perfectly. Some people have complained that other carbon pellets are too soft. These are almost identical to what came with my filter originally. I selected the 100oz (6¼ lb) size because it's so economical. Carbon pellets last forever and never expire.Since buying the reusable filter, I've decided it's more economical to not use filter cartridges at all. Just fill the cartridge holder with these pellets. I have a pet water fountain with a charcoal filter. The replacement filters were super expensive. I found a company that made permanent filters so that all I would need to do is change the charcoal. I found this and decided to give it a try. It works perfectly and will last me for a very long time. The price was wonderful, so I couldn't be more pleased. This is a great item at a great price.

A fair price for a good product. This worked ok for removing tannins in my pond, but I recently discovered Purigen, and will never go back. I will still use the AC as a backup, but if you are trying to clear a brown water issue, the amount of time and volume of AC required is very frustrating. And, you can't tell when the material is used up. Oh, the wonders of Purigen! (No, I don't work for them or own stock--but I have bought dozens of canisters of charcoal, and not seen the results that I got from one container of Purigen).I also keep this around for emergency water filtration, but think the powdered variety works better.

After dealing with carbon flakes, these pellets are dream. They work wonders for my cats' water fountain. No more flakes in the water and I know I am giving my cats clean water to drink. Excellent product!!!!!!! worth the money invested

This product has very low dust and rinses out quickly. Its a good value for the money. I have multiple fish tanks and change my carbon every month. In addition, I rinse it every week.

I have a fountain for my cats and also a forever filter that only needs the carbon replaced. I have had mixed results with the carbon that is sold in most stores. I've also wondered just how effectively it really filtered. While I've only had the pelletized carbon less than a week, I have actually seen a huge difference in the filtration. It does require a rinsing to remove all the dust, like ordinary activated carbon, but it does seems to trap more impurities from the water.Also, since it is in pellet form and all the pellets are the same size, the actual flow through the filter/carbon is more predictable and constant.Now all my flow issues are with the pre-filter to the pump and the actual pump itself.

I wanted activated charcoal for clarifying herbal infusions. Beware that some carbon particles are loose and a super-fine lab-grade filter and vacuum setup would be required to get them out--they're too fine to ever settle and pass through a coffee filter just like water does.

I use this carbon in my canister filter on a 50 gallon freshwater community tank. It performs as well as any carbon and you can't beat the price. Even though it says it's prewashed, you still need to rinse it a bit before putting it in your filter.

Works Great & Worth the Money

Great stuff, a bit dusty from shipping but understandable? All 8 of my big huge tanks are clear with this stuff and it last longer than 30 days. Most importantly it's cheap and it works, thanks China

Great product. Very dusty so be prepared to rinse well. Excellent clarifier and great price.
