I'm very happy with the Thermostat but it does NOT work correctly ...
I'm very happy with the Thermostat but it does NOT work correctly with my Wink Hub 2.Also I received a CT101 instead of a CT100 (which I ordered). I didn't complain about this as they're very similar and in theory the CT101 has a more advanced feature set although I wonder if the below problem wouldn't happen with a CT100?I have a CT101 thermostat linked to a newly installed Wink Hub 2. The app sees and controls the thermostat just fine. If, however, anyone changes the temperature manually on the thermostat almost exactly 10 minutes later Wink changes it back to whatever the last Wink set temp as.IE:1. Wink App used to Change AC Cooling Temp to 742. Someone uses the thermostat to change temp to 72.3. 10 minutes later Wink resets cooling temp to 74.4. The next day someone raises the temp to 78.5. 10 minutes later Wink resets cooling temp to 74.This is a shore house and is sometimes rented. I am the only user of the Wink App but there are MANY that want to change the thermostat. Unless I unlink the thermostat from Wink I don't know how to set it so Wink doesn't reset a manual change. If I use the app to change the temp that's great. But if later I decide while walking by the thermostat to change the temperature I want that setting to have equal priority and not be overridden.Any tips on how to fix this please share! I'm thinking MAYBE I can figure out something with IFTTT?P.S. This thermostat is also working as a z-wave repeater to some smart locks so if I remove it from the Wink system I'm afraid I'll lose that needed piggy back of a signal.

Great for vacation home!
Bought this for our vacation home to work with the SmartThings hub. I wanted a way to monitor (and control) the temperature in our vacation home when we are away. This thermostat was just the ticket. It did take a few minutes for me to figure out the correct wiring for the heat pump we have but since then I have used it for both heating and cooling with no issues. When we are back home it is nice to be able to set a min and max temp in the Smart Things app on my phone and be able to monitor the inside temperature to make sure nothing is going to freeze, etc. When we are there, it's nice to be able to adjust the temp without getting out of bed. And when we are out on the boat on a hot day, it is nice to be able to check to make sure the indoor temp is ok for our dogs who sometimes stay home while we boat. I can also turn the temp to our desired setting an hour or two before we arrive so the house is comfortable when we get there. Lots of options with this one. I don't use any of the programmable features in the thermostat, I mainly use the Smart Things software / hub to do that work. This thermostat is basically just to give the hub control.

You get what you pay for with these thermostats.
You get what you pay for with these thermostats. The thermostat looks cheap, and the top/bottom has covers that barely snap with great care. The top is where the wires connect to the wiring, and is a bad design to connect the wires. If you don't scrunch down the wires, the cover won't affix. The bottom cover is for the batteries. The display is ugly. The picture doesn't do it justice. The software is minimal and doesn't do much. It will connect via zwave, but the functionality is limited since the underlying software is limited. I returned them and got the Honeywell zwave ones. Its much better, though more expensive.

NOT compatible with OpenHab
I bought this to use with OpenHAB. I mean, a CT100 is a CT100 right? Nope! This had an incompatible device ID (6501:000b). Even after having the Device ID included in the OH2 device database entry for the CT100, this thermostat would not report any data. I gave up and bought the white version which IS compatible and works great.I'm sure it works okay as a regular thermostat though but never got that far.

Informed Buyer didn't completely inform you about the cost of his software.
So out of the box this thing is terrible & will not update enough if you are using with smart vents like the Keen. Yes I wired a common & it only got marginally better after relearning so it would be always on. It doesn't re-report the cool or heat part, so keen never knew it was cooling after some night time heating & my vents would not adjust. Informed Buyer didn't think you should be informed that this Thermostat will only be good after you pay for access to the software "device handler" he wrote. I like the software it dies work very well, but lets have some full disclosure for people looking to automate their HVAC.Fair warning you if you plan the common wire then you have to learn it that way or re-learn if you initially programmed it on battery power. With the common wire it also functions as a Z-Wave repeater. So 3 stars. 1 for being useless out of the box for Vent Automation. 5 for being great with the software device handler software additional purchase.

Great piece of equipment
Great piece of equipment. Works great with vera mobile app. Only issue is not able to set a schedule on it. But it works for what I need it for and $20 cheaper that a regular wifi stat.

Excellent thermostat. Have it linked to my SmartThings Hub ...
Excellent thermostat.Have it linked to my SmartThings Hub running the Cozy app at the moment while I find a good custom app to control my HVAC system to my liking.
