Hard to use compared to peq15
Okay, first you’ll notice is all the functions and modes 😂 it’s made in Germany. It is very confusing compared to the American peq15. I’m just going to have to get used to it, wasn’t going to complain because it works nice, definitely works better than a peq15 but will take a long time to get used to. You’ll need a second person to look bc you’ll not know when it’s viz vs non viz, the pressure pad and Modes are not clear like American ones. If it’s your first one go for it, If you’ve used American ones you’ll have a learning curve, it’s not as easy to understand but it’s better built and works further. German engineer good, German design confusing.

The Best Laser You Can Get!
This is the best laser you can buy. It is a Steiner, which says it all as far as quality goes. The visible and IR lasers are fantastic. This is a very compact and rugged unit. Under NVGs the IR laser and Illuminator are very bright. This unit has a lot more options for operation than any other on the market. Do your research and you will see. It seems expensive, but when you are looking for a laser with these kinds of capabilities, it is worth every penny! Besides, do you really want to trust your life to something that was cheap? No other laser even comes close.

Doesn't get much better for civilian IR/visible aiming pointers
The same as the military version except reduced output on the IR laser and IR illuminator. The green visible laser can be seen to about 75 yards in normal daylight on high. The IR laser is very bright under night vision. The illuminator less so, and fairly useless, though better than similar civilian models since the width can be adjusted. The mount seems pretty good. I've only seen my EOTech HWS and green laser diverge by around 1.5 MOA or so when firing.

Worthless
So, imagine for a second that you are a former light reconnaissance marine surrounded by his buddies at night, on the precipice of shooting when all of a sudden your IR illuminator stops working. You change the batteries. You try switching through all the modes. You curse your close friend and God himself and rage into the night. Your friends make fun of you relentlessly for the next three days about "buy once cry twice". You swear a blood oath against Steiner and all infrared technology. And to top it off the warranty process is like 4 months turn around time LMAO. Buy Chinese and save yourself the headache.

Love it
Was in the market for an another IR Laser for another rifle, definitely as close as I could get to the one I presently have. Runs great and the battery has lasted a long time. On a side funny know… when I’m not out with it… makes for a hilariously expensive dog/ cat toy 🤣

Seems pretty legit so far.
Im new to Steiner optics, not new to IR lasers etc. I was very impressed with the green laser visibility during the daytime. I have yet to play with the IR modes. Package arrived undamaged and sealed as expected. I plan on putting this thing to work!

A must have
Firm believer that you get what you pay for and Steiner products never disappoint. I have one of the offset models I purchased 17 yrs ago under their old brand name Laser Devices and still works as good as the day I bought it. I have no doubts this unit will perform the same.

An essential piece of gear for a night vision shooter.
Having the built in illuminator makes a huge difference. Worth the extra money over the A2. If you buy the A2 you're still going to spend $200-$300 on a separate IR flashlight. Just spend the money here on the DBAL A3 and get everything in one package.
