AP US History Flash Cards (Barron's AP)

It goes over each period of APUSH and covers important topics that everyone should be aware of. If you have ADHD or your eyes glaze over while reading a long unit in the book, the cards break down topics into bite-size pieces of information that anyone can absorb!

I purchased the Barron 's AP United States History set of 500 flash cards to use with my adult students who are preparing for the GED exam. The flashcards come in a sturdy hinged cardboard box. Each card is numbered, with its number in the upper left corner. The cards are broken down into nine time periods. For example, Period 1 is 1491 - 1607 "Convergence of the Peoples." At the top of each flash card, it shows which of the nine time periods that the event belongs to. Another handy feature are the three Contents cards. If you are looking for a specific topic to review, the contents will show you which cards to use for most any given US History topic.There is quite a bit of information provided on each card. On one side of the card is an event, such as "Pre-Columbian Peoples of the American Southwest." On the flip side of the card, information is presented in a bullet format. Most cards contain 3 to 5 bullets of information. At the bottom of each card, there is a "Historical Connection" section which highlights a main fact.When I first introduced the cards to my students, we focused on just one of the bullet pieces of information at first. Then as we reviewed from the day before, I included the next bullet. The cards have been very helpful. These flash cards would be a great resource for anyone preparing for the US History regents exam or the AP US History exam.

these are a must have for anybody taking apush! they are great to today for the final exam, but i also use them everyday when i have assignments or a chapter test coming up. they are a really good refresher and have helped me this entire year in apush.the cards come with a ring so you can put specific chapters on it and study what you want to. the cards are slightly flimsy and i’ve had a couple of the ring holes break, but honestly that’s not a big deal, they are pretty good quality overall.

Overall great, didn’t get any duplicates or any of that because after reading the comments after I bought it I was worried there wasn’t actually 500 cards. Only wish they had a card for toxic waste in the Period 9 besides that GREAT!

These are great for AP US History (10th grade for us)... A good summary on each card and you can use them chronologically or one at a time to either study a subject or compile notes for essays and papers.

Purchased for my son's AP class, and it comes with a ring to attach them all together, the box looks great and sleek, and the info on the flashcards has really helped him. Thank you!

Great for helping study. Very hard test and these help. Mine are for sale if anyone would like to purchase. I just bought them last month. They are still brand new. Not even sure my daughter used all of them.
