Fits without the water seal
I bought this to replace the sim tray that I lost on the 8 plus. It fits well but only if the watertight seal is off. if the seal is still on the tray will go in but about half a millimeter stays raised above the surface. I assume it would work with the seal if the seal is placed well enough but it's too loose and finicky for me to get it into place.
