Although it connected with my projector, it somehow ruined my battery connection. Now, my surface pro 7 does not charge and the battery is completely drained out!! Please help

First, it's a great product, but it keeps bringing up the file explorer in about 2 to 5 minutes continuedly. Really annoying! Have to take it off to stop the annoying issue. Hope there is a fix or it's really a disappointment. Just writing this review the file explorer has opened 3 times!

I purchased a Microsoft Surface computer. Since the Surface does not have a cd drive, this device allowed me to plug in a portable cd drive so that I could load programs to it plus use a wireless mouse. The other slots made the Surface more usable to me like the laptop it replaced.

using it for longer periods of time, I keep hearing the disconnect and connecting sound when you plug something into the USB ports. Its not constant but it happens a lot more than Id like it to be and I just had this for a day or so

File manager keeps popping up every couple of minutes, connecting and disconnecting, files on SD card keep freezing and saying corrupted data. Worthless to me.
