Leave the cream on for a minute, and then use the CAXA lines and rollers of the ReFa CAXA RAY or the ReFa CAXA RAY RED to scoop and knead in multiple directions along the contours of your cheeks, forehead, jawline, neck and décolletage.Here are my thoughts:The box is super cheap but is sealed completely in plastic. I am surprised that the exquisite jar didn't end up in a million pieces because it was shipped in a plastic mailer. Seriously, the jar is something to behold in heavy plastic in silver and clear- just gorgeous.There is no real scent but it does have a slight citrus smell. Nothing overwhelming and it fades quickly. The cream is almost ointment-like but sinks in quickly while leaving a bit of a sticky texture but that dries down in a minute or two. It contains silver oxide which is known for healing but since it is at the end, I don't think the amount is anything that would become an issue. You can end up turning blue if you consume or apply a lot of that ingredient.After applying this, the manufacturer recommends using a microcurrent roller to press the ingredients into the skin. The one from this company is very expensive. I have a roller that looks exactly like the one described with the same features for under $20. I think the one I have works just as well even though I haven't test theirs.My skin feels wonderful after using this cream. I have super dry skin that is also sensitive. This caused no irritation and I feel that this really helped to rehydrate it. I am very impressed and also noticed that some broken capillaries were less noticeable. The texture of my skin also felt a lot smoother. It can be risky for oily/acne-prone skin. Be aware that it contains many fungal acne triggers, including Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Glyceryl Behenate, Polyglyceryl-6 Octastearate, and Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate. I ended up using it on my neck instead of my face.

Maybe it's because I don't have the fancy device that you're supposed to use this with, but it really isn't doing much for me. My skin feels dry a couple hours after use and I have to use a face oil or night mask before bed so I don't wake up feeling dry and tight. The jar is beautiful and the cream feels great going on. It has a very light curtis scent. It really does seem more heavy when I apply it, it just doesn't have much lasting power.

ReFa Expression Glossy Cream is a firm, white, thick premium cream in a pretty faux crystal container. I’m in my 50’s and have dry, sensitive skin. My skin absorbs this cream quickly, and it leaves no greasy feel or other residue. I liked this cream right away as it feels pleasing with a silky yet firm texture, but I wasn’t sure it was rich enough for my dry skin as it feels almost weightless and I gravitate to creams with a richer feel.But, after almost a few weeks of use, I feel ReFa does hydrate my skin enough. My skin feels comfortable, smooth and soft all day. It doesn’t look dry or flaky and has a healthy glow. I’m also getting a firming effect that I love and don’t find in many creams. I use this mostly as a day cream as I do prefer a richer night cream, and this works well under my makeup. I can use ReFa at night, but I add a couple drops of a facial oil to boost hydration.*I feel I’m getting better hydration and firming from longer term use, but it may be from pairing it with my more moisturizing products (serum, cleanser, etc.). Or perhaps my dry skin is retaining moisture better from adding a glycolic acid mask to my skin care routine. I’ve been using the ReFa Carat, though I don’t always use it with this cream. Whatever the reason, I’m happy with the results.This cream feels calming and gentle and hasn’t caused my sensitive skin any irritation. It doesn’t have fragrance listed and has just a light, pleasant scent that I assume is from botanical oils/extracts. I’m impressed that most ingredients rate low risk by EWG. The highest risk rating is a “4” for phenoxyethanol (last ingredient). I enjoy using this cream and feel it provides me noticeable benefits. Love it. 5 stars. Made in Japan.*The product page currently lists ingredients, including retinyl palmitate, that don’t match my product box. I never use retinyl palmitate products during the day, and it’s also not a low risk ingredient. I’m including a photo of the ingredient list from my box as I assume it’s accurate as to the product I received. I’d suggest checking with ReFa before purchase if ingredients are a deciding factor.

The ReFa Expression Glossy Cream comes in a lux-looking, but impractically bulky little 1oz mirrored silvery plastic jar. Mine arrived cracked with a bit of scuff on the lid, but everything was intact and safety sealed inside.The lotion is lightweight and you do smell a hint of the citrus essential oils (e.g., grapefruit, bitter orange, and lemon). Not unpleasant. The cream has a nice texture and absorbs well without feeling heavy or greasy. But other than the branding and price tag, what about this cream is above average? It is hydrating and gentle on my sensitive, mature skin. But that’s it. So are a lot of other thick, rich, white night creams. There is nothing necessarily wrong with this cream, but if I were to pay $130 (as of this writing) for a 1oz cream, I would expect more in terms of results. As is, I just look at it and shrug. Yeah, it’s ok. But for the lackluster, average performance at a luxury price point, I wouldn’t not get it again.
