The bar is pretty solid. The sleeves are pretty soft. They took some pretty nasty dings doing deadlifts. I wouldn't recommend for anybody lifting heavy iron weights, or definitely not for someone dropping the bar from any distance greater than a quarter of an inch.After having the bar and using it for a couple of years, once I started using bumpers, and quit using iron plates for deadlifts, this bar ages well. It spins great, it is my got to bar for cleans. The spin and whip, no complaints. It still looks as good as the day I put my first ding on the sleeves.For the price, the ET Energic barbells are solid weight lifting bars. I have 2.

Great bar, high quality. 45lbs standard size

This is the second E.T. ENERGIC bar I have bought. The first was a 6.6’ x25mm bar that I bought because of limited space. I liked it and, when I later had the space for a second, standard length bar, I had no reason to switch brands. The fit and finish is excellent, the chromed surfaces should resist rust, and, like the first bar, the spin at the sleeves is almost frictionless. I would have preferred a more aggressive knurling and when I bought it assumed that it would be similar to the first bar and was willing to accept that in light of its other qualities (this may not be a negative if you prefer a medium knurl). If it is truly rated at 1500 pounds with 200,000+ psi steel, this is a great deal.

Took a shot with this barbell. Love the knurling, finish, and 28mm diameter. I was skeptical with the price point but it feels very well built. We of course will see over time how it holds up, but i am initially very impressed.

The bar is great, except I ordered an all-silver one and received a black one.

I read reviews of it showing up scratched, rusted, bearings not functioning. Mine arrived in great condition in a sturdy cardboard tube. No issues and it works well. I enjoy the smoother knurling.

Considering that nearly all home gym equipment is priced quite a bit higher than normal during the pandemic, this is a good value for the cost. Fit and finish is nice, and the spin on the collars is smooth. It's definitely a step up from the CAP Beast barbell I had previously. I highly recommend this bar to anyone that wants a perfectly functional barbell at a fraction of the cost of some of the better known brands.
