JanSport Women's Agave Backpack

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE:It is no longer 2020, is it 2023. 3 years with this backpack. She has held up like a charm, still water resistant, hefty as ever, no holes, and zippers work like they did when she was young. I have never been so in love with a bag. She has so many pockets for my belongings and is great for college supply loads. She has somewhere for an iPad, and laptop, and I can even fit my gaming laptop and school computer in with no complaints from her. A little of the inner rubber lining is coming off but there is no obvious wear and tear on the structural materials of the bag. All straps and buckles still work like a charm. The attached photos are from 2023.Pre-COVID 2020 thoughts:Very nice, but this doesn’t hold as much as I wish it would and the reflective brand name wore off pretty quick. After having my last Jansport backpack for about 12 years, I was hoping for something a little better since the zippers started giving out at the 5th year, this I think is it though it hasn’t been long. Another complaint to add is the chest strap isn’t that durable and does like to pop when you tighten it a bit too far. Beside that, very nice material and quality. I like how many pockets it has, but not how small all of them are. The built-in pencil bag is very useful and then side straps are nice when you have a smaller load and want to reduce the wear on your spine. The zippers Grips are also made out of simple strings, making the knots come undone and very easy to lose the grips on the zippers2024 update(5yrs):everything with the backpack is perfect except now the inner waterproof lining is dry-rotting out so the material is now thinner and there are black-brown glue flakes all in the bottom of the bag pockets.Summary:I have now compared her to a Swiss gear heavy duty beat, and she is just so much lighter. She is not ripping like the Swiss and she was half the price. She always zips and let’s go of jams. I have fragments of pencil bag stuck in the Swiss. Go with Jansport. Not the canvas bags but the nicer ones. It’s worth it. I was just sad to lose my 10-year-old Jansport when I wrote the review in 2020. The 10year bag did not even have strappy straps. I was being greedy.

I just received this backpack and it seems like a great backpack. I bought it to replace a not-so-cheap but horrible backpack for the school year, and it's exceeded all my expectations. I was hesitant, especially because of the price, but everything seems to be in order. The backpack is very roomy, and can fit all of stuff(which is a lot!). The laptop pocket is nicely padded, and the rim of the pocket is stretchy(I don't know why). The second pocket is awesome and is gonna be great to organize all my things with. It has a mesh pocket at the top, and has several pockets for a phone and some random stuff. On the opposite side of that pocket(closer to the front), there is a pocket for a tablet, ereader, etc. The inside of the pocket seems to be made of fleece. The front pocket is vertical(as seen it the pic), but it's surprisingly roomy. It stretches to the side of the backpack, as well as the bottom(it covers basically the entire front of the backpack). The shoulder straps are padded, but strangely stiff. Hopefully this eases up a bit as it is used! There are straps for the sternum as well as stomach. The strap across the sternum is connected to the shoulder straps, while the strap across the stomach is connected directly to the backpack. But, overall, great backpack! It seems very sturdy and can hopefully last me several years!

I had a similar backpack to this that lasted me 10 years before I had to replace it. The zippers finally gave out. Good quality bags for everyday toting around. Lots of space for everything I want to carry.If this one lasts for 10 years like the last it will be money well spent, great value. Very versatile. Durable material for everyday use.

I probably have 15 backpacks in my collection but this Jansport is one of my favorites. I love that it stands upright which my Patagonias don't and the 32 liter is the perfect amount of space to carry my work laptop, gym clothes, and lunch. I also love the extra pockets and daisy chain. The straps are super comfortable as well. The only reason I'm giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is that I don't really like the fabric look but that's purely a cosmetic preference. This is a great backpack and I'll probably buy another if it's released in a color I like.

I have not found a more perfect pack that fits my needs for both travel and day hikes. The pack sits very comfortably on my shoulders. The waist and chest strap takes the weight off my shoulders. I can put either a laptop or a water bladder in the inside pouch. The pack is roomy and easily fits my lunch, raincoat, and layers of clothes. The pack has several pockets that make it easy for me to organize and find my belongings. I highly recommend this pack!

Well made and it holds a lot. This is a large backpack. I use it daily to carry my lunch, drinks, device, personal items to and from work. The stitching is good and I expect it to last a long time. My only complaint is the white interior. It easily stains.

Biggest piece of garbage I have ever purchased. Used to be a great name. Lasted 2 weeks. Zippers both busted and read the warranty carefully folks, your child will be without a backpack for 4 weeks and they don’t even send you a new one, you get a lesser gift card. Shame on you Jansport! This product is garbage!

I absolutely love this backpack! I was looking to get a new one as I'm in college and I've had my old one for 2 years. My sister recommended this one to me so i got it. The $70 price tag didn't look too good but I'm very glad I got it. No matter how much stuff i put in this bag, it's always light and easy to carry around. Sometimes I have to double-check to make sure my laptop is still in the bag because I cannot feel the weight (YEAH, it's that gucci). There are a lot of pockets and zippers if you're a bit nit-picky about being organized, like me. Overall, it's a great product. once this one wears off, i'll likely buy it again :)
