This is a truly lovely Advent Calendar. The illustrations are charming, subtle and delicate. The calendar will appeal to the whole family without being childish.

Lovely design

With the doors closed, this is a pretty advent calendar, and the winter animal theme is a nice change from the usual religious or snowy village scenes. Ours unfortunately arrived with some damage (a section was faded/discoloured) but otherwise fine. Included a big sturdy envelope to store it in, which is handy if you plan to reuse it every year.I found the pictures themselves a bit underwhelming. They are nice illustrations but there isn't much contrast between the main picture and those behind the doors, so they don't really stand out and some were a little difficult to see. Some of them are already included in the outer picture too.Also, the pictures are printed on the same material as the rest of the calendar so are not transparent like some other calendars of this style which you can put in a window or next to a light source to make them stand out more. Not a problem, just something to be aware of.Overall, quite expensive for what it is, and not as nice as I'd hoped. Was intending to reuse this but think we might choose something different for next year.

A lovely advent calendar with no chocolate. Happy reminder of simpler times. This calendar is beautiful and will be a lovely decoration as we progress to Christmas.

This is so beautiful, I'm on day 22 so I've seen most of the doors opened. I can't stand the tackiness of calendars featuring boy bands and containing chocolate, I usually get some traditionally pretty, glittery scene that takes me back to my childhood but decided to be a bit more grown up this year and chose this one. The artwork is gorgeous and well done, the pictures behind the doors fit in properly with the big picture on the calendar, mice, butterflies, foxes... all of British wildlife is here. Each day is a new delight. Love it.

This calendar looked lovely, but was poorly made. Several of the doors were stuck to the backing which meant they either only opened halfway or ripped, leaving the calendar looking awful. The numbers were also really difficult to see.

I'm so confused to see that there are some bad reviews... I really have no idea why. I think this is an absolutely stunning product. I gave it as a gift and the recipient loved it! I saw it with all doors open and I love that the pictures fit perfectly in with the rest of the artwork. Can't recommend tis enough.
