Q: Are the pockets secure enough to keep my phone from bouncing around while running long distances?

They are secure but your phone will still bounce around. Not much though, but not ideal for running.

Q: The pockets seem to be an issue with these (too long). though are there some that bought this and the pockets were ok? don't hang way down?

Mind also had pockets that are too long, okay when standing but not when sitting down. Good fit otherwise. Because I like the fit so much I’m thinking of altering the pockets to shorter. Looks like an easy fix.
