This happens to be my betta’s favorite bonus bite (dessert) he gets after eating some pellets. He really goes after this snack with violent eagerness, thrashing and wiggling as he pretends to fight it to the death and consume!I’m pleased to find that the mysis are in a mostly unbroken condition. Full pieces and no dust! There are some broken bits, yes—but, they are still a mouthful for my fish. Some pieces are actually too big, but in that case I would be the one breaking it apart and not the factory! Means more for my fish~ The .49 oz is a great size for the price! I cannot think I would need more than this one container for a couple months— or more. I only own one fish currently, but can still assume with more mouths to feed it would still last a good few weeks or more depending on the amount given! I will be purchasing this product again in the future and totally recommend ~ My betta loves these little guys and he’s been a finicky eater like most betta tend to be. If you’re unsure if your fish will enjoy mysis, I recommend buying the smallest amount. Not all finicky eaters eat the same, unfortunately! Tried to feed my Venus flytrap these, didn’t work. Still looks like a good product.

Food floats on top and stays there, helps in keeping tank cleaner. Angel fish wasn’t eating, now eating regular food because he is getting variety.

I have a parrot cichlid that I have had for many years, and I like to vary his diet with some healthy and tank friendly treats. I had a different brand of freeze dried shrimp that he liked, but it only came in a small container, half of which was shrimp dust, and it was pricey. I found this brand and WOW, was I surprised by the great price for a much larger container. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I opened it and saw actual freeze dried mysis shrimp pieces, not shrimp dust. Of course, the final test was the taste test-and it passed with flying colors-my cichlid LOVES this and 'begs' me for some every time I walk by the aquarium. Happy fish, happy me!
