Vostok - not to be confused with Vostok Europe - has its roots in 1942 during WWW2. First Moscow Watch Factory (better known as Polojt factory) was evacuated to East to a small town (Chistopol) near the Kama river. During the WWW2, the factory produced the wrist watches and military equipment. After the war, part of First Moscow Watch Factory was returned back to Moscow and the factory continued to produce the wristwatch with own trade mark Vostok. The military watch type grew very popular mainly due to high precision, reliability and durability. The appearance of the watch also contributes to its appeal - functional and clear-cut design invoked the feeling of belonging to the tough world of combat professional. The first "Komandirskie" ("Commander") watch appeared for the first time in 1967. Our Vostok models are genuine, new, discontinued models.
