I am very familiar with latex, both dunlop and talalay process. Though Vytex has a bit less odor than "real" latex, it does not have the familiar bouncy, springy feel that latex has (talalay is a bit springier than dunlop).A stack of three of these toppers should have made a nice latex bed. Instead it feels like an old worn out mattress or a thick pile of old blankets. Nothing like any latex mattress I've owned, slept on, or tried in a store. Or any new mattress of any kind! Don't know what they take out of the rubber during the Vytex process but it ruins the feel completely.I should have paid more attention to all the red flags. The super soft's description says 14 ILD, further down it's claimed to be 19 ILD (the supposed ILD of the regular soft.) Yet, when questioned about ILDs Vytex says that "ILD is only used for product that is "not natural" or blended. Natural Latex only uses density K." and "If you see ILD it's a good bet its blended or synthetic." Not true. While density is often listed, almost all manufacturers of 100% Natural Latex either tell you the ILD upfront or will do so when asked.Also, there's a big "Made in the USA" banner. Yet the toppers are stamped "Made in Vietnam by Lien A." There are many inconsistencies between their descriptions and answers to questions but I hoped this was just someone not paying attention and ordered anyway. Should've known better and gone with a reputable supplier but I wanted low odor latex that wouldn't have to air out before I could sleep on it.Lastly, they claim "easy returns." There is no option via Amazon to have the boxes picked up - drop-off at UPS only. The boxes are so large that I can't fit even one into my car, and they weight 50 lbs each! I am now exchanging emails through Amazon trying to get Vytex to send me prepaid shipping labels. I refuse to borrow a truck to take these to UPS.I have since bought latex toppers from a good supplier, Mayer's Bedding, who of course lists ILDs for both their 100% Natural and their blended (semi-synthetic) talalay latex which they buy from Talalay Global, the largest manufacturer of talalay latex in the world. These make an excellent mattress which should last a very long time.

I ordered this because the mattress I was sleeping on is a bit too firm. I discovered that having the cushion is precisely what I needed to get a much higher quality sleep.It arrived, and just as promised, there was absolutely no odor! I specifically wanted the organic latex so it would protect me from the fumes, and be safe to sleep on. This topper is even better than I imagined it would be. I searched for quite a while and decided to try this topper. I never thought it would make such a huge difference in the comfort of my extra firm bed. I have back problems (thus the firm bed) and while I had the support I needed, it was very uncomfortable on my hips, shoulders and knees of all places. I'm a side sleeper and also keep a pillow between my knees to help alleviate low back pain. I was concerned that the Super Soft Topper would sink deep, but that is not the case at all. It totally supports my pressure points and is Super Comfortable and has a slight "bounce" to it - which I prefer. There is no comparison between this and the sink you get from memory foam that sorta glues you in place and makes it difficult to turn over. I also purchased the Soft Heaven zippered cover to protect it and even with this cover and mattress cover over it, it still sleeps cool. Also, rather than the nasty chemical smell of memory foam, this topper had a vanilla like odor that was very pleasant. Its also very soft to the touch, but is still sturdy. I'm hoping it lasts for years to come!

I ordered the 1.5" topper in the super soft density. It is pretty great, but I think you need to give some thought to what density and thickness you choose for best results. Here are my thoughts:Appearance and Fit: While in the photos these toppers look smooth and white, in person it looks like the color and texture of all of the other mattress toppers you see on Amazon. It seems slightly larger (about an 1" in each direction) than my king size bed.Comfort and Feel: I put this on top of a new pillow top bed that felt a little stiff for side sleeping. I like a soft top layer and this thing is like sleeping on a cloud! It is very soft but still pushes back against you. It is difficult to describe but it is basically a giant rubber sponge. Sounds like a bad thing but it is not. Even though it is soft, it is still pretty easy to adjust positions. I'm 5 11 160lbs and I sink pretty deep into it.. For people that are shorter/heavier I could see where you would sink too much if you got the super soft density in the 2" or 3". Or if you sleep only on your back, a little firmer density might be a good idea. But, if youre relatively light and like a soft feel the 1.5 inch is super soft is great. Additionally, note that this thing is very pliable, so I would not recommended it to revitalize a sagging bed as it will just follow the contour of the sag for sure.Odor: Some reviews say it smells and some say it doesn't. The reality is that it has a slight natural rubber smell out of the box. It is not offensive to me and I'm very sensitive to smells. I have had memory foam toppers that have a very strong chemical smell that lasts for weeks. This is not like that at all. But to say it has no oder is not accurate.

This (2 inch extra soft) topper added the perfect level of cushion to our extra firm European wool mattress, but I am apparently sensitive to the latex smell. I had allowed it to air out in the guest room for a day, then placed it on the bed with a mattress cover over it and I could smell the latex whenever I turned on my side throughout the night. I didn't think this was a major problem, but the next morning my airway was tight and I was coughing. I am clearly sensitive to the latex used in this topper, but if you are not it is remarkably comfortable.

Love this feels awesome no smell whatsover! I would buy it again in a heartbeat I got the 3 inches one it’s fantastic! I put a mattress protector over it and you can’t feel the holes or anything it’s so comfortable! I wanted something that wouldn’t be toxic for me and my pets that sleep on my bed. This is made from a rubber tree. It’s honestly fantastic! Great for the price too! Go for it! You won’t be disappointed! I used to work at ikea this is wayyyy better than anything they have there you won’t regret this!

Definitely improved my hard spring mattress (in conjunction with two soft mattress covers, but this made a big difference). It's a little wider than my queen bed. It didn't have any unpleasant smell and was fairly easy to spread over the bed without help, given that it's fairly light. Despite being broader than the bed, It has shifted a few centimeters in a few weeks. However, that is likely because it's not directly on the mattress, but in between the two other toppers, so not an issue with the topper itself. For the price of a 1”, it's a very good deal compared with others. Would recommend. If the bed is very hard and you do not have other toppers, I would recommend getting a thicker size.

I have nothing but good things to say about Vytex. I had an issue with my order, (just a personal preference, nothing to do with the product or it's quality), and Vytex went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue. They stand behind their product, but they also stand behind their customers, (even when they technically didn't need to as in my case).Regarding the topper itself. It arrived in a timely fashion. It's made of a high quality material that feels superior to a traditional memory foam.

Super soft! My wife loves it! I'm ok with it, as I weigh 30% heavier than her. I would probably go for the next firmness up, next time. We put it ontop of our Polysleep mattress, and makes side sleeping very comfortable. Back sleeping, is ok. No Latex smell offgassing, as it contains the least amount of latex. The firmer you go, the smellier it gets, and takes a little longer to offgas. Pricey, but much better than Memory foam. It sleeps temp neutral, and lasts 3x longer than memory foam. Easier to roll around too, as it rebounds instantaneously.

Après avoir testé et cherché pendant plusieurs mois le meilleur surmatelas pour moi, c’est ce choix qui m’a semblé le meilleur et je peux vous assurer que je ne regrette pas mon choix. J’avais essayé auparavant des surmatelas en mousse mémoire et je me réveillait avec des douleurs articulaires en raison du manque de soutien de ceux ci. Le latex a ajouté du confort à mon matelas à ressort sans pour autant enlever du soutien. J’ai pu tester le surmatelas Vytex 2 pouces aussi et je l’ai trouvé très ferme. Le supersoft était parfait pour moi (je ne pèse que 120 lbs il faut dire). Le matelas a également une bonne odeur de vanille, bien plus rassurante considérant que le latex est naturel, à comparé des matelas en foam ou en mousse mémoire qui dégagent pour la plupart une odeur désagréable résultant des produits chimiques utilisés pour leur conception. Je recommande ce produit à 100%!

I folded mine double so its actually 2 inches thick on a single bed.. I love the feel of it and how soft and mushy it is, and that its all natural latex. Much better than the petroleum foam product I had before! This latex topper does have smell in the beginning but its kind of sweet, almost banana ish, not at all offensive. I'm rather sorry it wore off!

After reading reviews I was worried about smell, I have good sense of smell and when I open the box there was a giant odour of rubber, like you get from rubber bands, not at all overwhelming, after it was on bed for day or two I can’t smell a thing. Arrived before estimated date. Very comfortable. Will never go back to memory foam.

This topper fits a queen mattress perfect. I’ve read reviews about people complaining about the size, and about the smell. No issues at all. Glad I didn’t listen. I would recommend this product!

I have the two inch topper. It’s what I was looking for, something memory foam soft but without that terrible sinking in feeling! This topper has a great bounce and it’s so soft. Relieved many of my side sleeper aches. Highly suggest bamboo cover though as it heats up.

This topper really makes a big difference for its slim profile. Very happy. It does lock in heat, as any latex will, so you may want to add a breathable layer on top (wool, cotton, etc.)
