I have a very hard time finding affordable shoes that fit my mismatched feet, so I was delighted to see that my risk of trying this lower priced sneaker paid off. I bought these shoes since my feet were hurting from wearing flat shoes with little to no support. These caught my eye since they were cute and didn’t look too athletic or sporty. They feel great when I wear them and hurt my feet a lot less, I sized up to give myself more toe room. The only reason I’m giving these shoes 4 stars is they are not the best quality and you can see the glue and loose threads on some parts. Overall, they are great for casual use and light exercise but I do not expect them to last for a really long time.

I have drop foot due to a hip replacement surgery and I have to wear a brace in my shoe when I walk. Unfortunately I have to take the tongue out however, the shoes fit my brace without an issue. Very comfortable.

Nice shoe with real materials on the outside. Sadly it ran small and tight even when I got the next size up, it was not really any different and looked almost 2 inches shorter than a different avia shoe I own of the same size. Also it has memory foam which will break down in short time. I'd rather see some arch support with quality material on the inside. I really like the outside and the sole though. Nice and rubbery feeling on the bottom. Also the tongue has mesh which won't wipe clean if it gets dirty. I'd like to see that changed to match the rest of the outside...smooth.

As a retired nurse of 36 years on my feet. Shoes are not always comfortable or well fitting for me. I like these walking shoes and wear them tho the recreation wellness center, comfortably. I recommend these walking shoes!

Bought two different pairs to try. These and Ryka. I returned the Ryka. These fit my wide two box and also fit my new insoles no problem. The ankle is extremely supportive and when I played in them the first time there was no break in needed. They are so comfortable. Hopefully they will last for a while.Update: soles of my shoes have worn down to the foam so they lasted 8 monthsThe shoe keeps the front of my foot secure without any sliding, no toe issues and stable ankle. I even swapped out the insoles for my shock absorbing ones and the fit was perfect.These are not the most stylish but definitely comfortable and I have a wide toe box and narrow heel.

Once I found the right size, these Avia court shoes were exactly what I needed. Sturdy, easy to wear, and fantastic on the pickleball court. They provide a level of stability I never got from running or walking shoes. I’m very happy with the shoes. The packaging is another story.Here’s what happened. Since Avia was a new brand for me, I ordered multiple sizes to find the right fit. I started with 8.5W and 8W in white with a pink stripe. Both arrived in proper Avia-branded boxes.The 8.5W was too small, so I returned both and ordered the 9W in the same color. It arrived in a plastic bag instead of a box.I returned it and tried again. Same problem. Another plastic bag. I contacted Amazon customer service and asked them to reach out to the distributor. They said they couldn’t because it was processed at an Amazon facility. There is no way for either customer service or customers to contact that facility.So I returned the second bagged pair and tried again. I ordered the 9W in white with a gray stripe, hoping for better results. That pair came in a plain brown corrugated box. Inside, there was a note saying the item had been repackaged in recyclable frustration free packaging because the original box was damaged in transit.Here’s why this matters. I store all my footwear in boxes for the following reasons:•To keep shoes dust free (dust breaks down materials over time and damages the structure of the shoe)•To protect shape and structure (a box prevents squishing and accidental crushing when shoes are stored or stacked)•For easy stacking and storage (boxes let you neatly organize and store shoes without damaging them)•For travel and transport (boxes keep pairs together and prevent them from getting smashed)•For possible resale (buyers often expect original packaging and value it more)So if you’re planning to order the 9W in any white color, know that it may not arrive in an Avia box. The shoes are excellent. The packaging situation is frustrating.
