Thanks to Amazon for stocking this Japanese import CD!!
I was introduced to Polyphia only a few weeks ago from that 2022 video with Steve Vai as a guest guitarist. I was blown away by this band's playing and it takes a lot to do that for this old prog rock fan. I wisely chose their second album Renaissance from 2016 as my first entry into my collection. Since this album would require about one month to ship from Japan along with hefty overseas shipping fees, I told myself that I could live without it. But with me never being a quitter, I gave this CD another try. Lo and behold, Amazon had several copies in their warehouse. It only took three days to arrive! Yes, it was on the expensive side, but it is now mine to keep.Every cut on this one is a keeper. It is not quite as progressive as their next one called Renaissance, but I like it a lot better than their third one, New Levels New Devils. That one is also on it's way, but I hesitated a lot before ordering it. Why? They certainly evolved, but mixing rock, funk and jazz on one album without a continuous flow did not sit well with me. That would be like following up Metallica with George Benson. There is a time and a place for each, but not back to back. I will wisely arrange all of those cuts as a more flowing pattern of rock, funk, jazz, vocals. For these first two albums, I left the original track listing exactly the same in my MP3 library, which I rarely do. As for their 2022 release, I won't even touch it!

Great Under rated Gem
This was there first album and as such did not get the attention it deserved. It should not be compared to there later stuff though. Its definitely more guitar oriented. There's a lot of material in here that sounds a lot like Satriani. Which makes for great music when you want to open up on the highway. However there is some great standout material that is unique and artistic. Champagne is a great piece, Aviator which features Jason Richardson Rocks hard, James Franco is another well done and unique piece, Battitude with Mario Camerena is very interesting and pleasing to the ear and last but not least there is the song "Finale" I cant exactly categorize it but its the best song on the album and I listen to it everyday. Finale is worth the price all by itself but there's lots of other great material here and I highly recommend it.

Great Album
Great album, I am pretty sure this is from Japan. Cool art and nice to have the physical copy.

Technically advanced, but still maturing
Similar to their other recordings, this one is somewhat repetitive and simplistic in scope. I feel as if "remember..." and "New Levels..." are more complete when it comes to creativeness. However, I did not get the vibe that the artists who were featured on those albums were tremendous contributors to the overall results. These guys are insanely skilled, but I'm still not sold on the whole package....yet.Overall, "Jungle" is probably my favorite on this effort, if that provides any insight as to my preferences. That said, there is some overuse of tremelo bar flutter throughout, and some pieces feel incomplete or without direction.

Great Ablum
This is a must have. Muse and Renaissance are the two best Polyphia albums in my opinion.

YouTube them.
After hearing champagne for the first time, I was worried I wouldn't like this new album. The song kind of grew on me, and before I knew it, I found myself fiending for the new tracks. This certainly exceeded my expectations. If you have your doubts, just listen on youtube. If you find yourself wanting to hear it again, and realize you don't have the album, buy it. It's worth the $$$.

Amusing.
Polyphia's first full length is a worthy addition to their discography. Each instrumental is flowy and textured in the style they are known for. The guitar work and drum work flow together like a finely crafted machine. Can easily listen to on repeat along with their other albums.

Polyphia comes into their own, both commercially and artistically
Polyphia's Muse has cured both my AIDS and cancer, solved my fertility issues, enhanced my athletic performance by significant margins and has increased my IQ by roughly 45%. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost!

Very good, the beginning of this band.
When you like a good sound, try this. Superb guitar and bass playing. Very good drummer.

Diferente, algo nuevo, calidad.
Increíble disco. Se ha hecho un hueco entre mis favoritos! Lo recomiendo, aire fresco en este mundo de monotonía.

Great guitar work this is seriously mind blowing
Great guitar work this is seriously mind blowing. I love especially the ''Epic'' vibe that most of the songs bring. The guys seem to like their guitars sounding Mid and that's fine by me but the fact that almost all bits are played on those mid pickups is about the only downside i could think of.Would be again!
