Cool book with some nice tips for designing your own building MOCs (my own creations) with LEGO. Bonus points for it mentioning the movie theater from my home town!

More value than obvious
This book has plans for a number of fairly simple LEGO models which I have not attempted yet. The best part of the book is the text that describes modern architecture. The content is succinct but informative and well written. The concepts of the various styles are then applied in the included construction instructions that are as well documented as any LEGO kit you could buy.

Really cool book!
Bought this for my daughter who grew up building Lego and is now studying architecture at college. She loves the book!

Nice review of architectural styles
Interesting book to learn about different architecture styles and to make more realistic Lego models. The instructions are high level, so not great as a reference for specific elements (I.e other books are more comprehensive). However, it was a worthwhile reading anyway

Detailed and great resource
I really appreciated the detailed pictures of the models that were included in this book. There are so many creative builds that were included, all representing various architectural styles. Pictures were taken from various angles which helps you see what tiles were used and the various building techniques used as well. There is a good overview of the main architectural styles, and although this is a broad overview of each style, there is enough detail to give you an appreciation for the major distinguishing features of each style. But all in all, this book is about the pics, and hopefully the ideas that will be spawned from looking at them! I was inspired the moment I opened the book! I also enjoyed how the individual builders that were featured gave their own perspective and tips and tricks when creating buildings or structures in various styles. A great resource and must have book.

A deeper survey into architectural styles than expected!
I'm a life long LEGO fan and bought the book because it was a cool concept. I was expecting some photos of famous buildings constructed with a blurb here and there. What I got is an exquisite Coffee Table book with a delightfully deeper survey of architectural styles than anticipated and step by step guides on how to build realistic multi-scale scale versions of each There is real re-reading value here, which is a nice surprise. To those reviewers complaining about the models requiring the architecture LEGO set and the book being useless without it, I would like to re-read the prologue where the author explicitly states the all white models were used for clarity, but any colors will work and he encourages creativity continually throughout the book. Besides, not having the exact right piece is a cornerstone of the LEGO experience! If you don't have a slope piece, use your imagination and engineer something similar with what you do have... that's the Magic of LEGO and this book encapsulates it well.
