Incredible Value!
So I've only had this monitor for a few days so far, but I have to say that it has met all my expectations and then some! I'm coming from an ASUS PG278Q, which I loved and even though it's a very high quality display, it's still a TN panel, though one of the fastest and best looking TN's around. So this is what I'm comparing the EDG34S to.POSITIVES:- The colors in comparison are much much better.- The contrast, being that it's a VA panel of course, is FANTASTIC and by far and away the biggest reason I wanted to upgrade and upgrade to a VA panel specifically. I don't do any kind of professional design work that relies on 100% accurate colors. I game and watch stuff, and VA panels with their contrast and vibrancy are simply much MUCH better suited for this use case.- Brightness is excellent. It isn't 1000nits or anything crazy like that, but nobody in their right mind needs that kind of brightness for a monitor they're sitting a foot or two away from. So in this regards, the 400nits (approx.) is more than sufficient, though you won't be getting the "true" HDR experience. Which, without local dimming or OLED and the exorbitant pricing that goes along with that, nobody is really getting "true" HDR anyways and you shouldn't expect that from a monitor at this price, but it is there and it does work. It just won't melt your eyes like you're staring into the sun.- Basically zero light leakage or glow, even with the brightness cranked to insane levels on a pure black background.- Response time is also superb. Yes, there can be some banding in dark to light scenes as is typical with VA's, but being that this is a 144hz panel, as well as setting Overdrive to "middle", for most people, or "high", if you can keep your frames >120fps, then it's negligible and you likely won't notice it unless you look for it. Remember, this is coming from someone upgrading from a monitor that had <5ms all-in across the entire spectrum. Weirdly, this monitor actually somehow feels SMOOTHER to me. I can't explain that one, but maybe it has to do with...- FreeSync (technically it's FreeSync Premium/HDR/2, but the panel isn't certified as being HDR even though it is, so it's "just FreeSync") and G-Sync "compatible", it works 100% fine with G-Sync, again, it just hasn't been certified. I have had zero issues across multiple games, no flickering or anything out of the ordinary. It just works.- PRICE! The #1 positive. What you're getting for the price you're paying? Can't be beat. Honestly. It really can't.NEGATIVES:- No adjustable stand. This is by far the biggest negative to me. Even after purchasing an aftermarket adjustable stand (STAND-V001V), the cost is still worth it, so not a deal breaker, but the option for one out of the box would be nice! Where is the EDG34, Nixeus?!- A single stuck pixel. Only visible on black backgrounds, but even then barely so. Well within tolerance, but still a sad sight when it is visible.- Sometimes the display needs to be turned off and on again after rebooting? Not sure what causes that and it's only happened twice so far, I think it may be due to setting HDR in the OSD to "Auto-Detect", but further testing is needed.- Speaking of on and off, there is no front facing visible LED or anything to indicate if the monitor is on or not, or if FreeSync/G-Sync is enabled. Again, not a big deal, just a small QoL thing I miss.- Port/Plug placement. TERRIBLE. Oh man, it's really awkward to plug this thing in depending on your setup. I wish all monitors simply pointed their ports straight out the back instead of downward under a little alcove. Very frustrating, but mostly because of my setup.- Please, go with a joystick instead of buttons for the OSD! Another minor QoL, but it feels major whenever you needs to make adjustments. At least they feel very clicky and tactile!I think that about covers it. I'll update as time passes to see if anything new develops or if my opinion changes, but overall I am so incredibly satisfied with this purchase so far, I can't even properly describe it. I feel like I somehow cheated and got it for the price I did. Incredible value, truly. You have a new fan, Nixeus!Just please for the love of god, don't sell your future monitors without an adjustable stand, or without the option to choose. My only real qualm.

Monitor Bueno Bonito y Barato !!!

Finally, a VA panel without ghosting issues
I've been using this monitor for a few weeks now, so it's about time for a review.Out of the box, I was very impressed. The stand is very sturdy and easy to assemble, though the instructions aren't very clear on which screws to use. It's also not adjustable height wise, but luckily it's perfect for my setup. I had purchased a DP 1.4 cable, but this monitor came with one. Upon starting it up, I was absolutely blown away by the colors and clarity. Still haven't felt a need to mess with the colors on the OSD, I simply enabled 10-bit in the Nvidia control panel as well as FreeSync.Paired with a 1080ti and a Ryzen 1700, I have no problem getting 100+fps on max settings on most games. I don't have the slightest bit of ghosting with the response time set to low, which is very impressive for a VA panel. I'm glad I chose this instead of the more expensive LG with an IPS panel. I also wasn't sure if I'd like the aggressive curve, but I actually do. It does make gaming feel slightly more immersive. There are a few issues though, it's not perfect. There is a tiny bit of glow at the top and bottom, but I only notice it when booting my PC. It's not that bad, certainly nothing compared to an IPS panel. But it does exist, unlike my TN panel. Not really an issue, just thought I'd mention it. The other issue is flickering when using FreeSync. It's FreeSync certified between 48-144hz, so expect it to flicker when you're hitting less than that in games. Generally loading screens are 30hz, which is the only time I notice it. I contacted Nixeus, and they said that is normal and turning down the brightness helps. I turned my brightness down to 20 (still plenty bright enough) and it almost completely went away. After researching, this is expected with all 144hz 3440x1440p G-Sync/FreeSync (mainly FreeSync) monitors to some degree.Overall, if this monitor was $800, I would still recommend it. At the price of $600 (I paid $550 during pre-order) it is an amazing bang for your buck. If you have a 1080ti, 2080, 2080 Super, or 2080ti, I would definitely jump on this.

Great for the price
Beaten by other monitors of similar spec but great quality monitor for the price. This is a budget option if you can call it that for these specs and the monitor holds up very well. My unit arrived with no flaws and has almost imperceptible backlight bleed on an all black image. No flickering issues when using gsync either. For a quality professional review check out tftcentral.co.uk they do a better job of a detailed review versus my lay experience.
