I bought these for a couple of co-workers because they both like carpenters pencils. I did buy myself a set also, but I don't like carpenters pencils, I need more of a point so that I can mark more accurately. But I have been using mine for things like marking next to my square or a straight edge and they actually work very well for that because they mark very close and stay sharp! So now I carry both my Pica and this one and that seems to be a great combo.

Great tape measure. Sturdy, magnet works well, easy to read. Only complaint is that however it is spring loaded to retract, it is REALLY strong and can retract rather violently.

Meow has been using these for about a year now. Meow likes that there is no more shaving wood and ever shortening pencils. But Meow cannot give it five stars. Although Meow uses it every day, Meow finds it a bit of a hassle to flip tips around or reloading a new round. It can take quite a bit of claw to do that. That is if you remember where you put the reloads in the first place. At least it never gets shorter or break as easily. The price is also quite affordable. Overall Meow would say 3-4 stars.

I've spent years getting pissed off with wooden pencils breaking leads regardless of how careful I am or what sharpener I use. I thought finally bought a rotating core sharpener. I was sure that would fix the problem, but no, the lead breaks as soon as enough lead is exposed.Doing the same thing expecting a different result is the definition of insanity and that's just what I was doing. These pencils remove that issue. Insanity removed.Push a new lead into the end of the pencil when a lead is finished. If you're all out use the old lead to push the next one through.

Like the length, fits good in work pouch. Working electrical need a dependable writing tool that can mark on solid and rough surfaces.

The pencil is a great bit of kit, the problem is finding the refills, especially in the UKNow bearing in mind that to buy the pencils is only £7 odd, the only refills I have found are £28 + £3 plus p&p for 24 pcsYou get 2 pencils with 8 leads per pencil plus 8 spares in the package, but to get 24 pcs (the same as the original purchase) refills costs 4 times as muchI even emailed Swanson, but never had a reply

I have had no need to sharpen a carpenters pencil since getting them. Very innovative design and make perfect / easily visible lines. Changing cartridges is a bit fiddly but nothing too bad.

Excellent pencils. I prefer these over my standard wood carpenters pencils now.Lead is just right. Not too soft that it wears quickly, but soft enough to give a good dark line.Love em
