How much bag to cut to allow the sealing of the second end of the bag.
This product is very functional, has a very good sealer and vacuum. Having never used a food sealer, I read the instructions and then began sealing the meat I had purchased. The instructions should have included the elementary instructions of first sealing one end of the bag and then placing your food in and how much room to leave on the bag you had cut off the roll to allow the sealer to have enough room to seal the second end of the bag. It did not take too much time to see my errors, but the elementary instructions would have been helpful.Overall I am very pleased with the product and the pricing. Kim

Beyond my Expectations
The media could not be loaded. This is such a great addition to my kitchen. I was looking at getting one for a while but the pricing ($100+) kept me from buying any brand. I found this one on sale (under $50) and with such great reviews, so I thought "heck even if it didn't work, $50 isn't that much to lose". Well boy was I mistaken, this appliance is GREAT! So glad I purchased it. Very easy to use and did a great job vacuuming all the air out and sealing up! I highly recommend this to anyone who freezes anything or did sous vide!

Easy to use- Good performance
I purchased this to replace my ORIGINAL Seal-a- Meal that I have had for over 20 years. The budget was tight so I thought I'd give this one a try. I've had it a couple of months and use it 3-6 days a week. So far, so good. (To give you an idea, I have already used 2 rolls of bags) It is super fast and super quiet. I have done both Dry and Moist with no issues and the food in the freezer appears to be well sealed after a couple of months. Got some pulled pork out last week that we did on Memorial Day and it was just as fresh and juicy as the day I sealed it. I bought the jar sealing attachment ( separately) but I haven't used it yet so I can't say how well that works. I expect it to work just as well as the bags. I will up my overall rating to a 5 star if it lasts over a year. (given the fact that I had never heard of this brand AND harvest season is coming...lol) It's actually a LOT nicer looking and better quality than I expected.

It even sucks at sucking.
Ever think, I wish cooking was more difficult? Wouldn't it be nice if you could make no sense of the directions? The box clearly states " 30% Less Operation Compared with Others", and given that statement, I would say that the others fail about 15% of the time, which is still unacceptable for a single-use device. So, got too much time on your hands? Need some more messes to clean up? Wanna get a giggle from the google translate instruction book? Look no further because this is the sealer for you! Bless this mess!

Does Not Work
I purchased two of these.First unit pulls a vacuum for 75 seconds and then shuts down. No seal is created. Tried multiple times with the actual food that I was trying to package. I even tried to vacuum pack a golf ball, as well as a few coins to see what would happen if I tried to package objects that contained no moisture. 75 second vacuum and then no sealing. To call this junk would be kindSecond unit pulls a vacuum but only partially evacuates the bag before sealing. I could get a better seal by wrapping in plastic wrap. Only 5% better than junk. At least it did seal, but it defeats the purpose to not actually perform the vacuum stage. Also junk.

Avoid.
You know the old joke about the lousy vacuum cleaner: "I'd say it sucks, but that's the one thing it doesn't do"? That's pretty much the story with this thing. It works about half the time, and when it does it typically puts a feeble vacuum on the bag. The other half of the time it just whirrs and buzzes away and never reaches an acceptable amount of vacuum, so the sealer can never finish the job. Once in a while (maybe 1 time in 10) it does a credible job -- if it could do that most of the time, it'd be a gem. As it is, it's garbage.Even the wretched Food Saver is better than this -- at least it has a built-in cutter.

Nice little vacuum sealer
Been contemplating getting a vacuum sealer for a while now but thought they were overpriced at my local stores. After getting an Instantpot recently, I decided to take another hard look at vacuum sealers and found this one for a very nice price after another brand I was going to purchase became unavailable. My 40+ year old impulse sealer takes 2 seconds to seal a bag and makes zero noise so I was surprised how much noise this one makes when just sealing a bag with no vacuum. It also takes about 10 seconds just to seal. Now that I've used it a little, the noise doesn't bother me that much anymore.Having never used a vacuum sealer before, my first attempt at sealing on the "moist" setting was a bit messy. I thought I made the bag long enough but the vacuum sucked up the juices from my salmon into the chamber. Luckily they made enough room to get in there for cleaning. Added an inch to my bag lengths and all subsequent "moist" seals went fine.On dry mode the vacuum is very strong. I vacuum sealed some salad toppings of seeds and cranberries as my test. It may be hard to see in the picture but the cranberries are smooshed and the moisture in them are slightly extracted. Next time I'll try to just use 'vac' to remove the amount of air i want and then manually hitting 'seal' versus just using the 'dry' function. It would have been nice to have some sample bags included (I got a small used roll from someone to test).I like the size of the sealer and although it is mostly plastic it seems well built.I don't know how, but I accidentally purchased it from Amazon Warehouse which cost me a little more than a brand new unit w/$3 off coupon. My mistake. I can as of right now 9/25/2020, get this from the Amazon Warehouse for $31.01 which is $9 less than a brand new unit. All things considered, I still believe this was a really good purchase for the price and would recommend this sealer's products.

Performed well on 18 items first time used
Used it for salmon and crab caught earlier in the day.3 out of 18 bags had to be reseated. Beginner error! On those occasions I had not inserted the plastic far enough into the machine.Suction was excellent. I was surprised that it worked so well on the crabs.Instructions are hopeless. Fortunately, someone has given an easy to follow explanation on YouTube.Watch the YouTube video attentively and you will have no difficulty.I highly recommend this machine.

Buen producto!
El pedido llegó a tiempo y en buenas condiciones. Soy Chef y buscaba un equipo para empacar al vacío los platillos que preparo de menú semanal para mis clientes. Este, además de sencillo se usar, sella y extrae el aire muy bien de las bolsas.
