these swabs are effective and efficient. Plus, they can be cleaned and re-used. If you have ever tried to clean an inkjet printer, the value of reusable swabs, especially foam (as they don't leave lint or fibre behind) is invaluable. In my use, they also do attract things as fine as dog hair (which is often invisible to the naked eye --- and I have a typically friendly Golden Retriever who likes to hang out with me in my print room....) so this capacity is welcome. 50 swabs, cleaned judiciously, should last quite a long time, justifying the investment. Know this advice isn't great for the company, but I don't work for them, so just pass on my experience with a good product for me.

Value priced and solvent resistant
I used these swabs with 2 products from MG Chemicals to clean my VCR heads and other assemblies. They work perfectly and are solvent resistant, and leave zero residue or fibers.I plan on next doing our inkjet and laser printers to restore them to factory fresh cleanliness. A great product super-cheap and just as good as high priced swabs touted as being for those applications. The plastic handle is stiff and durable, angled to reach tough spots. The head smooth and as stated resist solvents that I have tested, so far the rubber rejuvenate and VCR head cleaner.

Very useful swabs
Used for applying black trim restorer on rubber and plastic areas on my car. Very useful in applying the product carefully and in tight areas.

Great price for a decent swab
Great price for a decent swab. They absorb quite a lot of liquid which works well for some applications and not as well for others. Keep in mind that they absorb more than they look like they would.

Great printer cleaning tool
I had a major problem with Zeus, my Epson 9900 large format printer. It was spewing globs of black sewage all over my prints. I knew a major cleaning was in order. These are the perfect way to get excess gunk out of the innards of the machine. It was an annoying project made much easier by having the correct tools and supplies.

Beat Q-Tips for the larger jobs.
Prior to buying these 'swabs on a stick' (as I phrase it), I thought it might be a frivolous buy because I could use chopsticks, etc. to make something like them to clean hard to reach printer parts. Not So! These things are sturdy and have a flat and large enough surface to do some hard to reach and nasty cleaning with a solvent (alcohol?) or other product--depending on what's being cleaned. Hopefully, you won't need them too often but when you do they're wonderful to have on hand. Way, way better than trying to tape a Q-tip to a chopstick (except, of course, for Chinese...but then skip the Q-tip).

Q-Tips are for ears! These are for machines and electronics.
These are great. I have no complaints as to performance. I do wish this type of thing were sold cheaper though. There must be one hell of a markup. It's not just these though; it seems to be similar for any of the brands I researched. Sure, there are ear swabs out there, but they deposit fibers much too readily. You need something like this when cleaning equipment.

PERFECT for my Printer
I was a little nervous when I purchased these for my printer but It was well worth the risk. They feel and perform just like the Roland brand cleaning swabs. Great deal!
