Here's all the GOOD REASONS to Buy This Espresso Maker!
I've been in search of the Perfect Cup of Coffee for a long, long time! What a long road this has been! I've got to be honest...I know everyone loves their Keurig, but coffee from my Keurig has turned me off to coffee. It's too acidic and doesn't sit well in my stomach. I've tried all the brands and flavors too but they just don't do it for me. It may be quick but I'm not liking the taste or how it sits in my stomach. Sometimes, I've even shied away from coffee and had tea in the morning instead. But, I've missed the full, rich coffee flavor. It was just killing me! Anyway, I had to write this review to tell you....I've finally found it! What's old is new again! I love this product. Here's some interesting factoids about this type of coffee maker, the IIsa Stainless Steel Stovetop Espresso Maker!1- Aluminum versus 18-10 Stainless Steel -You know you could buy the aluminum version of a stove top espresso maker and I've used that type before myself. But, as I'm a Certified Health Coach, I wanted to stay away from aluminum products for obvious reasons. This is made from quality 18-10 Stainless Steel. So, it's a solid, sturdy piece of equipment.2- Made in Italy - Are you just as concerned as me as where your products are made? I check each product I buy to see where it's made. That figures in to the decision-making purchasing power we have. My opinion: I don't buy anything made in China as, in my experience, it's usually cheaper for sure....but, there's never any quality to it. Plus, I don't like what China, as a country, has done to the US economy and our jobless situation, etc. So, for personal reasons, I boycott all products made in China whenever I can. That's just me and what I've experienced and my personal quest to oppose the system we currently have it place. You know. I'm not sure if it helps but I feel that it's a good example to set for people. However, if you can't buy products made in the U.S., look at your other options. So, for this purchase.....why would you even look at a stovetop espresso maker unless it was from.....Italy, right? I'm just saying, it so worth the investment and I know I'll have this coffee maker for a lifetime. The quality alone is priceless.3- The Reducing Filter - The IIsa espresso pot was the only pot that has a reducing filter. Wow! Buy the 6 cup and if you only want 1 cup, you can use the reducing filter and still use this pot. What a novel concept!! I've had to fish the reducing filter out of the garbage a few times already. So, just keep an eye on it and be mindful, so you don't throw it out with the grinds.I'm sure I could think of more reasons why I recommend this pot, and if I do, I'll come back here and update this review. I'm just saying this espresso maker is the best! I love it! Plus, it comes with an extra gasket for, down the road, it finally wears out from you making the BEST of coffee every morning that you've ever had!!

I'm very pleased with this espresso maker
I'm very pleased with this espresso maker. It's well-made and I know it will last for years. I threw away my Keurig coffee maker because there's no doubt, this is far, far superior in flavor, and it doesn't take long to make. When I was in Italy I also bought a stainless steel container with a plunger to make the foamed milk for a cappuccino. It's heaven!!!

Not what it used to be...
We had an Ilsa espresso maker for 25 years. It saw everyday use and was great. Finally it wore out. So we bought another thinking it would last just as long. Wrong. The handle broke off after a few months. Very disappointing.

Excellent!
After visiting friends, and having espresso, in their home, made in this stovetop maker, we were sold. They are Italian and know espresso! We love making coffee using the Ilsa Stainless Steel Stovetop Espresso maker. This is so much better than using our small espresso machine, even though this stovetop maker takes longer to brew. The end result is delicious. Highly recommend this product.
