The best hanger I've found
I'm a bit paranoid about my guitars. While I'm not a wealthy man, I've managed to get my hands on a few very nice custom instruments. If I leave them locked away in their traveling cases, they're safe but inaccessible.Having an instrument in easy reach, makes it much more likely you'll pick up the instrument and use it. The problem is how to keep the guitar handy, without subjecting it to damage. If you have no pets or small children, you might try a floor stand. Personally, I'm a klutz and would probably trip over it at night, so hanging up on a wall makes more sense, and gets it out of harms way. I've looked at quite a few wall hangers. Most of them are plastic, or have cheap mounting plates, or various little gimmicks. This is a very simple steel hook that inserts into a solid cast base. It's strong and dependable. The hooks hold my instruments securely, and the padding insures the finish isn't marred. They're the best I've found, and I won't trust anything less with my babies. The manufacturer isn't kidding about neck width. The narrow fits a standard six string like a glove. If you play a wide-format neck like a 12 string or a classical, order this model. Because it's built from very heavy steel, you're not going to just "bend it to fit".

Strong enough to securely hold a 1976 D35 Martin guitar
I did a lot of research before deciding to buy this. It looked great in the pictures, and the real thing did not disappoint either.I'm using it to hang my D35 Martin acoustic guitar on a dry wall. If hanged properly, the back of the guitar does not touch the wall (a great plus if you don't want white wall paint on your guitar). The triangle shape helps for a secure fit to the wall. While some of the other comments here suggested to buy longer screws for a more secure fit, I used only the screws they provided in the package. The end-result is great and exactly what I would have expected - the fit is tight, and is strong enough to hold my guitar.Great product!

Well Made and Sturdy
I purchased one of these guitar hangers at a Guitar Center so I already knew that it was a good product. However, the GC center had only one of them on hand and I needed another and purchased the second through Amazon. The hanger has a three-point mounting system that is strong and attaches easily and solidly in drywall with the supplied fasteners. Padding protects the finish of the guitar and the head swivels so that the guitar always hangs straight. Hanging the two guitars on the wall of my small study has opened the room up while allowing me to keep the guitars instantly available whenever I want to play them.

The best guitar wall hanger that you'll ever find
I have a total of 12 of these hangers for my guitar collection. I started with just 2 to see what they were like and the rest is history. These are extremely easy to install and, in my opinion, look much better that other available wall hangers. They do come in 2 widths; one for "standard" electric guitars and a wide one for classical guitars. That said, the classical guitar hanger works well with the smaller neck electrics as well.

Heavy Duty! but with mediochre mounting hardware...
This hanger is made of thick, durable plastic (or some sort of plastic type material). The actual 2-prong instrument holder will dis-attach from the wall mount if rotated a full 90 degrees. This may come in handy... I don't know when, but who knows. I would give this 4.5 stars if I could because the mounting hardware with the kit is sub-par. It comes with 3 white, plastic drywall screws and 3 short wood screws. The drywall screws just plain do not fit in the hanger's holes and the wood screws are tiny (usable, but not ideal). I quick trip to home depot will solve that problem.

Strong but snug fit on wide necks
The media could not be loaded. Great hanger - I have three. If your guitar has a wide nut (1 7/8” on my 12-string), the fit is snug. The two top mounting holes are just slightly more than 1 3/4” apart, so if you’re trying to hit a stud behind drywall, you will not get both top screws into a standard 2x4 (milled to 1 1/2” x 3 1/2”). However, just getting one screw into wood and using drywall anchors (included) for the other two screws still provides solid support.
