Catalina Creations 43.5" Extra Large Outdoor Steel Fire Pit and Spark Screen | Outdoor Firepits For Outside | Made For XXL Large Bonfire

I had 3 large trees felled on my property, a walnut with the center rotted out and two creekside sycamores that are really difficult if not impossible to split. I wanted something massive enough to burn huge, awkward chunks of wood in without doors hanging open or lids sitting askew, but I didn't want to build a permanent brick or stone type pit on this open lot. So I needed a giant but mobile fire pit, and that is EXACTLY what this is. It holds so much wood it's unreal. For the first burn I put an armload of regular firewood in it, about 6-7 pieces of split wood, the same amount that I use to fill my wood stove for the night. I easily had enough room for 3 times that much and I still don't think it would have been too crowded. This is GREAT for the odd chunks and gnarled bits those felled trees produce, and it makes clearing the debris trees off this lot an aesthetic pleasure rather than a woodchipping chore. I also got a 40" circular grill, put it on during the first burn, and cooked a dozen scrambled eggs, 2 lbs of sausage patties, and a pound of bacon in 3 different pans, and I covered less than 1/3 of the grill grate surface. The portability makes it GREAT for taking to camp or the river with a huge gang of friends too. I truly could not be happier with this purchase.

Really nice and Large. Only assembly was to place one nut on a bolt (Which is already installed) that keeps the Fire bowl on the base! We like it!

I used this during fall 2019. I love the size and the thickness of the metal is good (not as thick as cast iron, but a lot thicker than most of the pressed steel fire pits on the market). Make sure you get a cover for it since any scratch will likely end up rusted (no rust for me yet since I ordered my waterproof cover at the same time I ordered the fire pit).I moved this about 200' by myself but the size makes having 2 people much easier. My one gripe is the top/screen cover is not symmetrical any just kinda sits lopsidedly in the fire pit. It serves its function though.

I spent a good deal of time reviewing every fire pit I could. This one looked and appeared to be sturdy, simple and safe. All three are true....assembly was in minutes, from the first it worked-burned like a charm. The screen, although it looks rusty between uses, after getting hot blackens back to new condition. This is a fine product and worth every dollar. We have spent hours with friends, family and neighbors with a good fire and lots of fun. I recomment my fire pit.

After years of waiting to assemble my gathered rocks (picture boulders) into a useable fire circle, I found this steel beauty, of perfect size, and had it shipped directly. Someone had mentioned assembly, and I delayed opening the box, expecting the worst. Tighten the one bolt, and she was ready to light up our autumn evening. We quibbled about the location but, no worries, with handles, we can quickly relocate this baby should we choose. The screen nicely blocks flying embers when that might be an issue, and we did get the pole we used as poker and screen relocator. Likely we will purchase a separate outdoor poker with some heft because I am like that. I can't recommend this highly enough. It also came at least 10 days sooner than predicted.

I had this out for one night and the screen had surface rust on it. It did not rain, either. When you move the firepit by the handles on the side it rubs all the paint off of the handles - the firebowl itself appears to be holding up decent and not showing any rust. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase. would be much better if it came with a cover to protect the screen
