Working Now!
I've have revised my review as I now have these working! I was upgrading my RAMPS 1.4 board from a4988 to these and had left the 3 pairs of jumpers in the middle of the driver sockets on the board. No walk-throughs I had read through mentioned if they need to be removed or not except for one which said I could remove them or leave them in. I tried removing the set of jumpers from one socket but it didn't make the SPI work for that driver. It seems I needed to remove all the jumpers from all the driver sockets to get SPI working. I have now also been able to put my LCD screen back on and move the SPI pins to AUX2 using the software SPI override.Very impressed with the smoothness and the vastly lower noise my steppers are now running with these.

Caught fire.
I got one of these to catch fire tonight. by its own. it looks like a QA issue to me, quite rare maybe and quite unlucky for me :(It was in a tidy setup, properly cooled, on a SKR 1.4 on a vref of 700, on 24v (meanwell). It's not the first setup I have other bigtreetech stuff so I find this unusual. but worrying..never underestimate safety around 3d printers. I have automatic fire ext but nonetheless I was lucky to be there at that exact time.
