I have a lot of houseplants and I've been looking for something like this for a while. I recently tried to create my own drip bottles using a cotton wick and it didn't work so these were a great find. I have used the terracotta inserts but I like these much better.One reviewer called these a waste of money in the Q&A section but in her review commented that she'd used the wrong bottles. Her error is not the fault of the manufacturer. Just make sure you save any empties from Coke products and you should be good to go. The photo I attached shows the bottles these will accept. I used a Dasani water bottle and it threads onto the spike perfectly with no leaking.( EDIT - the valve insert did drip a little bit at one point but I just had to adjust it and push it in more tightly and that remedied the problem.)The adjustment valves allow you to control the drip. The instructions say to make sure when you put it in the plant the bottom of the valve is touching the soil and because the spike is so pointed, you'll have no problem inserting it into the soil far enough.So happy I found these, no complaints at all.

I got these to keep our balcony plants watered while we were gone. I have a lot of generic water bottles, so I thought that this would work perfectly! I didn't know that they only use certain brands of water bottles. and certain brands of soda liters. There's a picture in the directions of the water brands that will work with them. I just didn't read that in the description before I bought it.

Went on a two week vacation, an have a number Of plants, set one bottle in small plants, two bottles in larger plants, adjusted the drip flow, to a very slow drip, after two weeks found the plants well & the bottles still had water left.

This does NOT work at all! Either they drip to fast and empty the bottle right away. Or, it doesn’t drip at all, or waaaay to slow. I have not been able to figure out how to get the right watering dripping speed. The terracotta tubes are so much better. Thought these would work for my smaller pots but nope.

Good product, but needs a lot of tweaking. Worked with them for a few days and thought I had them set up for 2 weeks vacation, but came home and they were still as full as when we left.

Bought it followed the directions and it did not work as advertised. the water either all came out in a matter of hours or it didn't drip. Good idea, just not working yet. At least for me.

Save your money . It does not work and is made very cheaply.

Not reliable. My plants died while I was gone despite setting the drip rate faster than recommended, and most of the water was still in the bottles.
