This is my first time buying these from a different seller, you get much more than you do other places, I like to use these for an extra special treat with cupcakes, I use a cupcake pan, the liner's, and melt white chocolate, I strip a vanilla bean and mix it we'll into the chocolate, then I crush the petals, and sprinkle it over the top while it's still melted and put it in the fridge (or freezer) and garnish with a small piece of honey comb. It can be a bit expensive, but you can learn how to really stretch it out, I even put mine in a bag and put them in the freezer until your ready to use them. I've always gotten compliments from them. I'll buy from here again by the way, I crushed mine. They were intact lol

Yuck- stale, bad smell
I love candied violets and violet-flavored things. I was so excited when I received them today. When I opened the jar, I first noticed a weird smell. I decided to taste them anyway and I was so disappointed. They tasted stale and did not have a good violet flavor at all. Maybe I just got a bad/old batch, but these were not good at all. I ended up throwing them in the trash. :(

Taste awesome!!
Very nice flavor, just like in the gourmet bake shops. I can't wait to add them on my baked goods. They add a nice touch to presentation and they have a very mild but intoxicating scent.

Nice Decorative Addition To Chocolate Chestnut Pudding
The candied violets taste good and are attractive, but it's hard to tell they are violets.

Big chunks. Not violot petals
I give this product two stars as I bought the smaller amount last time and the pieces were perfect small chips. Bought the larger weight to save money and the pieces are also large and not small in size, so can’t use it as individual small garnish chips. Disappointing.

Good Product
Violets are lovely and taste good. I put them on a dessert that wasn’t completely dry and the color bled onto the dessert...my only complaint.

Inconsistent Product
The first time I bought this product, it was wonderful. Far exceeded my expectations. The second order was hugely disappointing. The rose petals were crushed Almost to a fine powder, with a few larger broken pieces. Not suitable for use as a garnish, or anything else. So unfortunate!

Very pleased with high quality of real violets
Very pleased with high quality of real violets from France. The taste is genuine and superb, and brought me back to the "violets" candy I remember as a teen. Highly recommend this product that is "made from real, hand picked, violet petals, selected during peak bloom to ensure the most vivid colour and distinct aromas."

Sweet and crunchy and pretty on baked goods
A little jar of sweet flowers that elevate baked goods to something special. They are a pretty dark purple and you can see the white/clear crystallized sugar.

Great dessert garnish
I viewed a recipe on TV that used crystallized violets. I ordered it a few minutes later and received the package the next day! The violets are obviously sweet but have a relatively subtle floral note (i.e. it doesn't taste like soap). Would purchase again.
