This is exactly what I was looking for. It weighs almost nothing. It is so portable but it is extremely light weight and couldn't take any abuse at all. I consider it semi disposable for the price. I bought two for that reason. So far I have had no problems with it. Remember, it is not a heavy sturdy tripod. It is great to carry around in my back pack in it's little sack so I can do some video. Just don't expect it to hold a big heavy camera. It does fine with my jvc everio.

don't breathe
this tripod has recieved some horrible reviews. to be fair i think its pretty much deserved. this tripod is feather light.....i mean...i could easily see this this blowing over in a heavy wind. also it is EXTREMELY fragile....in virtually every way. that not withstanding.... i find this to be super excellent for my needs. its so light...that its ridiculous. its also v. small and compact. opening this tripod will get you in touch with your feminine side.....quickly. you must treat it very gently....so....to sum it up....if you can be gentle with this...and get in touch with your feminine side....YO...buy it. .....if you re the type that has a loud muffler on your vehicle and delight in the fun of that kinda stuff...just pass

Cheap quality--cheap price
Everything about this tripod is cheap, but I paid only $8. It is cheap construction from cheap materials. But, it works. I use it with my Sony A99II and a 50mm lens. The camera stayed in place, but the slightest nudge would knock it over. I used it as a table-top tripod with the leg tubes closed. I would not trust it with the legs extended. It has a standard plate screw and it has 3-way tilt. This tripod would be best with a pocket-sized point-and-shoot camera. With a lightweight camera, this tripod could be used on location. It is ultra-lightweight, however, a moderate breeze would blow it over. The thin legs are stable, but the slightest bump would bend them out of shape. This item feels like a disposable, toy tripod, but at $8, that might be enough.

I'd recommend it to people trying to save a buck for a tripod with lots to offer, but not professional photographers
I just started out in real estate photography and this was my first tripod. For the price, it's fairly good. I'd recommend it to beginners or people trying to save a buck and just let them know about the quirks. If you wanted a somewhat decent tripod for everyday use that might see more closet time than use, this is not a bad choice. If you're a professional photographer or looking to become a pro, you should probably find something a little more quality.Pros: It folds nice so works great for travel. 80 inches which helps with the exterior shots or those difficult ones. Legs are very adjustable, so you can get those low-to-the-ground shots. Two round bubble levels lets you know if your legs are level and your head is level. Pivoting head works fairly well for video. It really has most everything you'd need. Xit says they stand behind their products, so that's a plus in my book.Cons: It's really not the best quality, but good quality for the price. Head isn't level at horizontal position and requires constant adjustment. Legs are a bit wobbly but not bad when locked down. Joints on the legs need constant tightening. Grease at the pivot joints is leaky. I haven't broken it yet, but it feels like it could be broken sort of easily.

I saw lots of bad reviews on this thing and decided to take a chance anyway. I mean for the money I was happy to use it a couple times to test it out. I was surprised at what you get for just a few bucks. It's not sturdy but it is light weight and has never failed me. I'v had it for a few months and have traveled with it and this tripod is great for your phone or light weight digital camera.

Disappointed
I bought this because I thought 50 inches was tall enough for what I do until I could afford a more expensive one and it seemed like a good deal for the price. It is not at all what I expected. It says it is made for DSLR cameras but I am afraid to even put my DSLR on it because I feel like it is going to tip over and break my camera. The legs are so flimsy and it shakes when I gently touch it. It doesn't seem like it is 50 inches either, it is way smaller than I thought it was going to be. It also says it is a pro series but it is nowhere near pro quality. I know it was only $10 so I shouldn't have expected anything fancy but I can't even use this at all so I feel like I wasted money. It looks a thousand times better in the picture.

Do you know how big is it?
A stable and versatile option for photographers and videographers, the XIT 72 Elite Tripod offers high-quality construction, a quick-release mechanism, and adjustable height for various shooting scenarios. One potential con of the XIT 72 Elite Series Professional Tripod is that it may not be as compact as some other options on the market, which can make it less convenient to transport. However, the sturdiness and versatility provided by this tripod make it a great option for anyone who needs a dependable and functional tripod for their photography or videography needs.

Still going 2 years strong!
I have had this tripod for over 2 years now. I came back to purchase one for a family member. I have brought it so many places instead of my expensive one. Yes it is a bit flimsy but honestly, this is a fantastic product for the price. So great to travel with. I put it in my pack while hiking and its lighter than a full water bottle.

Excelente.
Es un tripode muy económico por lo que hay que tener cuidado para no dañarlo debido al material de baja calidad. Pero cumple su función, es muy práctico y se puede llevar a todas partes.

Shaky centre post
The centre post was very shaky, and the bolt would not tighten at all.
