Quality and convenience
I have for several years been using a lower-cost competitor to this product; each would last about a year before the heater expired. I decided to move up in the world, and I feel I've made a good choice. The Chinya frother has a durable feel of quality materials. The sizes of the lid and the stirrer stowage are perfectly engineered for a snug fit. The body has an internal coating of what so far has been a very durable and easy-to-clean non-stick (Teflon?) surface. There is usually a bit of residual dairy matter stuck to the bottom after each use (as I've seen with every heater I've ever had) but it comes off readily. It has an easy-on-easy-off power base. I think the designers have done just about everything they can to make this effortless and convenient to use.The only very minor quirk is that the mechanical stirrer post inside the can is a bit more in the way for cleaning that one finds in magnetic drive frothers, and its off-center location seems to be aggravatingly in just the wrong place for the size of the head on my kitchen brush. But this is a very minor distraction. The quantity of the foam varies widely depending on the milk used. Note that this has nothing to do with the device and in fact has little to do with the fat content of your milk: it is more whether the milk's proteins are amenable to forming bubbles, and whether the milk's glyceride contents aren't low enough to allow bubbles to persist. These factors can vary from carton to carton of milk, particularly with seasonal changes, even for the same fat content and same milk supply chain. Milk fat might make the foam stiffer. So if your first latté with the Chinya frother has more or less foam than you're used it, it likely owes more to the luck of the draw of the milk you are using than the frother. All in all I am five-star pleased with this product. The final verdict will come if it's still giving me happy cappucinni after a couple of years of use.

Great customer service and good, fast frother
Having had a problem with the first frother, the seller immediately contacted me to sort it out and sent me a replacement unit even though I had discarded the original packaging. I did not have to do anything, and everything was handled without any bureaucracy. Very impressive indeed and would certainly make me buy from this seller again. This unit works well, both with skimmed milk and with almond milk (special Barista variety). It heats and froths very quickly and generates dense, lasting froth. There is enough for two small cappuccinos, but as it's quick to heat and froth it is no problem to make two large cups. It comes with two gadgets, one for frothing one for just adding to the frother when heating milk. The one not in use is stored in the lid, which is convenient. The unit is easy to clean, compact and fully meets my expectations.

HOW TO: Hot Chocolate
One of the tedious things about hot chocolate is getting it to mix really well, and this gadget solves that easily, if used in the right way. Before that, a couple of notes. I love this thing. It needs a 30 second clean up to remove slight reside after making a hot choc, but it's very simple. It could make hotter chocolate. Apparently it heats to 65 degrees C but I'd prefer 80. However, more on this in a moment. I highly recommend this thing. I use this as often with powdered chocolate you either have to mix a paste first (which can take ages) or you end up with a poorly mixed drink. This thing mixes better than I EVER could. HERE'S THE PROCESS: Use the small of the whisk heads (not the frother one!). Add the liquid (water/milk) first and THEN the powder - this ensures that the floating powder is dragged down to the mixer and avoids a wet clump of powder remaining. Put on the lid and press the button. Boil a kettle with a little water and pour the boiling water into the cup to prewarm it. This is really vital as the drink is then about ready to drink immediately. As it's at 65 there's no sitting around for ages blowing it. You can always finish with a few seconds in the microwave. READ THIS>> Yes you can mix it yourself, but honestly, this mixes better. I kid you not. Way, way better than a spoon, and a lot less faff than a hand held manual or electric whisk. It produces a more velvety drink even from cheap LIDL and ALDI chocolates, although my absolute fave is the ALDI indulgence one that requires milk. Yeah, yeah. I love it.

Should have bought one years ago.
Missing my shop bought coffee, I've been looking at capsule coffee makers but as I like milky coffees, I was looking for one with milk frothers and they are so expensive.A friend suggested buying a dedicated milk frother so I looked around and opted for the Chinya model. The device is compact, easy to use, relatively quiet and quick. It makes a wonderful late, flat white etc... in fact I think I'll be enjoying a at-home coffee more often from now on - why go out when you can make a lovely 'cuppa' at home. Its easy to use (don't over fill though at it will make an amount of froth when the coiled stirer is used)..A superb device - well worth the money... invest and you'll not be disappointed.I don't think I'll bother with a capsule coffee maker now as I've all I need to make coffee that bit more special with this device.

Lasts up to 12 months
I bought this 3 times and each time it breaks down after a year! Should’ve learnt my lesson the first time. Don’t recommend.
