Vax Rapid Power Plus Carpet Washer with Ultra+ Pet 4L Carpet Cleaner Solution

I dont normally reveiw but with such an expencive product I thought I must.Bought this in July, worked fine the few times i have used it, only used it a couple of times as i have 2 small children and a dad who visits whos elderly and has had a few accidents. When it worked i was very impressed and happy with it.However. . .I tried to clean the carpet today and the brushes where constatntly going (only ment to work on the back pull) which I assume was making the strong burning smell and there was also a squealing noise coming from the machine. I turned it off as I didnt want it to catch fire. Rang amazon. . No help. . .only get a 30 day return. Been in touch with vax and im now waiting for their response. I havent kept the box as where am i ment to keep a massive cardboard box in a small house with 2 children.I am not very hopeful that this is going to be resolved. I feel its going to be an expencive £199.00 pound down the drain for only a few uses.Il update if vax resolves but otherwise id never buy another vax product as the faff on of trying to even speak to someone to help is a nightmare.

Until you use a carpet cleaner you will never realise just how dirty your clean carpet actually can be!In the box you get: - The cleaning machine - A bag of attachments and treatment sprays - Instruction bookletFirst of all you need to attach the handle to the body of the machine. This is easy as the two screws are supplied. Make sure you screw them in tightly as the handle has to support the machine when tilted for use.You then clip in the water units - one for the clean water and the other for the dirty water at the bottom.You will notice near the bottom of the machine there is the space to attach the hose etc.To start, you need to add some water and shampoo to the top unit. Use a just to do this if you like. Clip it all back into the machine. Make sure the bottom unit is attached.Vacuum clean the carpet to begin with. There is a on/off switch at the back of the machine with a pedal to enable you to tilt it. Once switched on you need to use the trigger in the handle to mix the water and shampoo. If you don't use this the water won't come out onto your carpet.Move it around as you would your vacuum cleaner. Take care to move the cable out of the way, I found that because I stopped to pick up the cable i was left with a prominent wet mark on the floor. What you want to do is smooth motions across the carpet to avoid this so remember to elevate the cable.As you move around, you'll see the dirty water! wow - it also picks up any particles missed by your vacuum cleaner!When I removed the unit to empty it, there is a little spout or you can un-clip the whole lid which you will need to do anyway to rinse it out.I did a deep clean and you get a dial on the front to choose between a deep or normal clean. Because it was a deep clean it did take longer than the 45 minutes to be really dry but the carpet looked much cleaner and smelt fresher which was amazing!After use always empty out any water. This machine is really weighty even before you fill it so be careful taking it upstairs!I love the attachments bag as you can keep everything you need in it and use the hook to hang it up in your garage or shed etc.

Wow this cleaner is brilliant I’ve previously had a Bissell cleaner which broke so I was looking for a replacement I’m glad I chose this. It was delivered the next day, really easy to put together, you get a handy tool bag with various tools and sample bottles. I decided to clean my pink and cream suite first which I didn’t think was that bad, how I was wrong the colour of the water in the photo shows how bad it was. Next I cleaned my carpet, wow what a difference I have a silver thread in my grey carpet which had disappeared but the cleaner has brought my carpet back to life and I can clearly see the silver thread again. It’s easy to push with a strong suction and much easier to clean than the bissell. Would definitely recommend this 5*

Easy to use, didn’t realise how much water and solution you would use so best to order more before you use first time. Really impressed with the results, carpet is definitely cleaner and it’s the same if not better than when I’ve had it professionally cleaned. Although it did take a very long time, yet to use the extra parts for stairs.

I have a few carpet cleaners over time , but this one overall is the best one yet. It’s light , easy to use , easy to clean .Only bad points is that the suction is good but could be a lot better , you need to leave the carpets a lot longer ( over night ) to dry .Needs a bigger detergent compartment.But it’s a very good carpet cleaner .

Bought this Vax to replace my other one I had for 10 years I think it’s blocked some where so needed new one fast, builders working in house and my old one gave up on Monday 13th May 2019, and ordered this new one before 2pm, it arrived by 12 the next day, and going over what my old vax had done firstly and it really cleaned the carpet, the muck it picked up, well , I had to clean the brushes of dog hair, very easy to get at and clean, one driving the other four brushes. Some one has really thought about this machine, how to clean it after use, splitting the dirty water tank for ease of cleaning. So I think I’ve got a bargain with this Vax cleaner.

I've been debating for quite a while on which carpet cleaner to go for! I opted for this one in the end and I'm very pleased I did! Cleans really well and sucks up a great deal of water so carpets aren't wet for hours afterwards! Very easy to assemble and use, so handy to have especially as I have 2 elderly cats who have delicate tums at times!

Amazing- have used this twice so far - carpets are so much cleaner- I have 2 large dogs and it is shocking how much dirt and sand this picks up. Very impressed and wish I had bought one years ago.
