cliche, ridiculous, and so very fun
My enjoyment of this RH is easily a 5 stars—but the initial first 50 pages or so knock back a star. I considered not reading this series because the introduction was so off-putting. (Glad I did; it's now one of my top favorite series.)Not sure if it was the weird pacing, contradictory sentences (ex. repeating how independent she is but then saying how she hates to be alone), or the fact the author uses different terms for things that don't need a different term (i.e. "sun-cycle" for "day," "swimmers" for "fish," and my least favorite: "click" for "minute." There were literal instances where "click" was used in place of "second," like if it would take five clicks to stand on her own feet again—does that mean it took five *minutes* to find her balance? Dumb.). The first part of the book is just hard to get into.BUT, once you find the rhythm, there is a PHENOMENAL story and extremely interesting characters and lore to be found in this book! The author didn't go too far in the bully romance aspect, and although some topics are really, really weird, they don't usually stray into perverted or twisted. Many reviewers had a hard time with the main character's clumsiness. As a stupidly clumsy person myself, I got a kick out of it.This books is cliche, ridiculous, and so very fun. I read the first two books in a single day, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

I’m not gonna lie
I was bored to tears for the first few chapters. I even thought about moving on to something else a few times. Also, I’m from the US and it’s sometimes hard to read words spelled differently than what I’m used to. That being said, I continued to Soldier on and was rewarded with a really good book that is witty, original and quite funny at times. I even snort-laughed more than once. If you haven’t read this book and are reading this review, don’t give up on it after the first few chapters. Soldier on like Willa! You may be pleasantly surprised how good it is.

AMAZING READ
OBSESSED! THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING. Absolutely fell in love with the characters, and the writing. Plot totally got me hooked and wanting more!I can’t even bring to count the amount of times I burst out laughing while reading this book. Willa is a natural with making people laugh. I’ll tell you that. Absolutely love her ♥️I was expecting to hate the brothers at first cause of the way the first two was introduced when they first met Willa, but it became the opposite. I love them. Absolutely and utterly. Them and Willa together is PERFECTION 🤌Absolutely love the chemistry between the brothers and Willa! Can’t wait to read the next book!

A slow start, but it seems promising..
3,5 stars....‘Trickery’ is the first installment in the 'Curse of the Gods' series. This book had a slow start and picked up at about 20% into the book. If I hadn’t purchased the 3 book set, I most likely would’ve put it aside and picked up another book, until I was ready to deal with the dragging pace and the annoying internal monologues of Willa. Now, I’m aware that this is a YA novel, but Willa’s internal ramblings seemed more like that of a twelve year old.Nevertheless, I stuck it out and I’m happy that I did, because this story seems to have a lot of promise.Willa is a dweller (someone of the lesser race) and has a bad tendency of being clumsy and attracting trouble. Her best friend and pseudo-sister Emmy, is her rock and always has her back. Emmy and Willa have been selected by their village to serve the superior and gifted race, the sol, in Blesswood. At Blesswood Willa got appointed to serve the notorious Abcurses brothers – Coen, Rome, Aros, Yael and Siret. The Abcurses brothers are of the gifted superior race. Each brother is blessed with a gift from the Gods. All five brothers are dangerously handsome and Willa stood no chance to their charms, good looks and antics. The Abcurses brothers find themselves in a delicate situation by caring for a dweller, Willa. They take her under their wings and vow to protect her from anyone that wishes her harm. However, this blossoming relationship between the Abcurses brothers and Willa is an anomaly and causes an uproar within their community.I enjoyed reading about the Abcurses brothers tremendously. From their different personalities, to their good looks, to their gifts, to their bad boy antics. As of now I sadly don’t have a favorite, because they’re all amazing, but if I had to choose then I’d narrow it down to Coen, Rome and Aros. These guys have something that tug on my heartstrings and turn me to mush.Overall, this series has a lot of promise and my curiosity has definitely been piqued. With that said, I’ll definitely be continuing on to the next book, because I’m curious to see where this story leads to.

Good, but not entirely my cup of tea.
I probably should have paid more attention to the summary, because this is a reverse harem series and I don't care much for those. Just too unrealistic, one man is more than enough IME.However, the plot is interesting, and the world is wonderfully unique. Excellent world building that is truly fantastic. I particularly like the way they describe time, it's both obvious enough to make sense and terribly creative. The boys are interesting too, I like the combination of gifts they have.I'll read on, because I want to find out if my suspicions are correct and because the writing IS good. I enjoyed the first book, even though I don't like the pairing type.

LOVED THIS!!
My older sister read it for her book club, and she kept on laughing and telling me about the book. The banter is amazing, love that as a reader you start questioning things right away. 10/10

Awesome, just awesome
I loved this story! It's original and has everything I like - a strong FMC, men who think they super awesome but realize that's not one hundred percent accurate and a potential for discoveries that will shatter your brain. I loved Willa so much and I laughed a lot with her POV. She's smart in her way and utterly captivating. I hope to see more of her adventures. For those of us who enjoy more than one pov, this book is centered around Willa's but I don't think it's a problem, aí cê it's pretty complete. I'm going to read #2 now!

I've read this book 20+ times
Honestly this first book is so addictive. I've read it so many times. The pacing is good, it can take the first few chapters to get into it but worth pushing through. Willa is hilarious and I can't want to see where her journey takes her!

One of my fave RHs
This series is one of my very favourite reverse harems. The main character is hilarious and clumsy (which you don't see very much in a mc and I love it). She is super quirky and super endearing. There is not a ton of steam in the first few books but the characters are so well-developed and so are their relationships. Lots of adventure and very fun. This series has become a real comfort read for me and I re-read it often. Highly recommend if you're someone who likes paranormal/fantasy romances.

Super funny
I don't normally like this type of books but these authors found the way to make these series of books the best I've read in my life. I've read them 3 times now

You have to have this!
Trickery and Persuasion have both repeatedly come up as books, that other readers bought, when I was looking for new reading material. I usually don't read dystopian novels, but after seeing these books so often, I decided to give them a try.And try, I did. After reading the excerpt I absolutely had to have Trickery. The plot, pace and development of the characters are brilliant. I simply could not put these books down. Though I had to a few times, when i was laughing so hard, I think my neighbors heard me.If you're indecisive about buying these books, I have to tell you, go for it.I can't wait for the next three installments.
