Quick Projects Utilizing Cascade 220 Yarn
This book contains 60 knitting projects from yarn shops all over the United States. All the projects are relatively small and quick to knit except for a few. There are 11 patterns that I would like to knit myself and that really hit me with their versatility and usefulness.I like the Slouchy Lace Hat that comes from Knitters Mercantile in Columbus, Ohio. It's knit in a purple colorway and incorporates nice texture with lace stitching. The Fair Isle Stockings from Woolen Collectibles in Kalispell, MT is one of the more intricate patterns, incorporating a three-color Fair Isle pattern - charcoal, white, and blue. The stockings are knee-high and just stunning. The Lacy Cables Hat is knit in a bright emerald green and was submitted by The Woolen Ewe in Plano, TX. It is knit up in a lace and faux cable pattern. It looks very warm. The Two-Way Cable Beanie is in a tweeted colorway, utilizing a heathered yarn. It has horizontal and longitudinal cables. This pattern was submitted Cabled Fiber Studio of Port Angeles, WA. The Faux-Woven Scarf looks like it was spun rather than knit. Submitted by The Spinning Room in Altamont, NY, it is knit with three colors in a linen stitch. The Simple Socks are perfect for winter weather. Redlands Yarn Company in Redlands, CA realizes that a variegated yarn can make sock knitting more interesting. The Striped Dress is perfect for a baby girl. Knit in pink with white stripes, this sleeveless dress was submitted by Pine Tree Yarns in Damariscotta, ME. The Colorblock Reversubke Cap is a stunner. It is grey and red and is knit with a mock cable pattern with a rib on the bottom. The rib and body of the hat are two separate colors. I love the Diamond Fair Isle Hat knit in orange and gold. It was submitted by The Knitting Nest in Austin, TX. Last but not least, is the Felted Elephant knit in pink with glorious, huge ears. Submitted by Elissa's Creative Warehouse in Needhame, MA, it is a perfect gift for the child in your life. All of these patterns utilize Cascade 220 yarn, a delightful yarn to knit with. I highly recommend this book. It is useful for finding gifts or projects to knit for yourself.

So many projects, need more time to knit!
I borrowed this knitting book from a friend & liked so many of the patterns, that I ordered it for myself. If you regularly knit with Cascade 220 yarns, or something similar, you will be happy to have so many projects at your fingertips. I have found the directions to be easy to follow and quite adaptable.

Great book featuring great patterns
The patterns are from various yarn shops throughout the USA. I love these patterns for their individuality. This is a book to inspire a knitter to try different patterns.

Travel the country from your sofa
I love the little perks you get from shopping in local yarn stores. There are always samples to be seen, free patterns to obtain with the purchase of yarn, and the help that only another needleworker can provide. This book travels the country and collects just those patterns I am talking about. People who live in Seattle, or St. Louis, who are talented enough to design a hat or scarf or cowl and share them with locals, now have the opportunity to share with everyone! It's got a nice selection of patterns in easy, intermediate and advanced skill levels.

If you love to knit
There is always room for improving your knitting. This book offers knitting patterns that are a shy above my own level and keeps me occupied and focused when I need to get my mind off my real life. I like keeping my hands busy when there is so much family stuff going on around me. I always return to knitting after long periods of time; especially when I am in high stress mode. The patterns are lovely and fun.

Great fun project
there are a lot of projects that are really cute and not very hard to make. I have purchased other knitting books before when there is only one or two projects that I wanted it. I have shown this book to other knitters and they liked a lot of the projects too. I am a very slow knitter. So this is perfect for me.
