Great value (Recommend using on standalone XP machine however)
This card is a very good value however I see a lot of people complaining about it's win 7 compatibility. I would say to them, please you paid under $50 for this!. It is essentially legacy hardware so while you can run it on a Win 7 machine it like most compatability mode hardware will not play well. A DVR camera system should not be run on ones main pc in any event. The read/write process of recording the video is enough constant wear for 1 machine. If you want plug and play win7 and up then pull out another $150 minimum or be realistic and take advantage of a great deal on this piece of hardware that performs excellent when used appropriately. I got 6 of 8 inputs hooked to cams and recording a 24hr loop. Couldn't be happier. Playback is smooth and incredibly high res for such a bargain card. NO COMPLAINTS FROM THIS GUY, GREAT FIND..

It works with proprietary software, but beyond that, seems kind of flaky
I had a tough time making this card work in the first place, but I finally figured out that to make it work on windows 8 64 bit, you need the proper 64 bit drivers. In the question and answer section of this product, one of the answers said where you could download like the 64 bit windows 7 drivers and that's where I downloaded the proper drivers. The other sites listed by the reviews of this product don't work. At least for me they were useless. In the question and answer section, there is listed a site that has the proper drivers. I could only get the card to work with the proprietary software that came with it and not with Skype or other video viewing software. So I gave the product a 4 stars based on the fact that I couldn't use 3rd party software with the card. Maybe there is a way to use 3rd party software, but as far as I can tell, there is no compatibility with Skype or the 3rd party video viewing software I used.I would give the product 10 stars for Skype and 3rd party software program compatibility if it had one. If only they did have that in the product.*******************************************************update: I really don't like the product too much because the proprietary software that comes with the card doesn't come with a user's manual. It's really hard to figure out how to use. I could get a video, but beyond that, I couldn't figure out anything else. It kind of makes the card useless. So I'm going to lower the card's rating to 3 stars. On usability, I think 3 stars is better than the original 4 stars I gave it.

Cant get any software to detect this capture card
The only program that i can see my camera with is iSee. I can't record with it because it wants me to log in. I can't exit the program because it wants me to log in, and when i end the process it makes my computer blue screen. Piece of crap! I think I'll just get a DVR from walmart, seems like a better choice...

So Far So Good
Once I discovered that my existing cameras needed to be replaced by a more reliable product this DVR expansion card worked well, and still does. It did not operate initially because I was using VideoSecu cameras which are of poor quality. Once I replaced the inferior VideoSecu cameras with Eclipse Security cameras my troubles were over. Hopefully it will continue to perform well after being in service for at least a year.

Great DVR Security Card
This has resulted to be a great card. I must admit at first I was about to rate this at 1 star. I'm using Win7-64 bit and I couldnt for the life of me find the drivers for this card. Kept getting "multimedia controller" & "multimedia video controller" missing drivers error. After several weeks i decided to contact the seller and return the item. Not only did the seller contact me within a few hours but also sent me a zip file with 64-bit drivers. After I installed those drivers, the card worked FLAWLESSLY. Im in awe with the quality of this card and you cant beat the price. Stronngly recommended.

OK for the money
This card works ok. It took me 2 cards to get one that worked. But the second card did work in the systems I wanted it to. However if you want this card to work with other Open source DVR video surveillance systems the drivers don't work on iSpy. Overall for the price of this card it is working for me. Seems to be bleeding edge at this point and the Open source systems should catch up with these drivers.

POS (Software sucks)
I got this thinking I could get it to work with my Blue Iris Software no luck. And the software it comes with is useless. Save your money and get the PICO card from newegg that will work with Blue Iris.

Good card, recommended for a computer tech though
I must first say this: Language barrier and possibly for a computer tech only build. The seller does a great job at following through and I would buy again if needed. I had to contact seller because the bnc/audio dongle and the win7 32bit mini cd were not in the box, just the input card. (bummer but this can happen coming from over seas) SUPER FAST response time BUT it took about 5-8 emails (i forget) to finally explain to them the parts missing and for them understand it. About a week later I received the dongle and mini cd and installed on a extra p4 build that was collecting dust. Now understand, I had made time just to attempt this setup because I knew based on the reviews this might be a hit and miss cctv video input card. I tried the win7 64 drivers and that was a no go so I reinstalled win7 32bit and tried the drivers on the mini cd. That is what worked for me in the end with a force driver install and about 3hrs later. Some lucky buyers have had the card just work and that is what I was hoping for haha. The included software is like what others have said, its leaves more to be desired. I had to basically just start clicking around and seeing what that click did lol. It is a good setup, once you get it to work.
