EZ-FLO 40271 Universal Toilet Tank Replacement Cover, White

An employee dropped our ceramic toilet lid and it broke into pieces. The toilet is either old or unmarked so I couldn't find any identifying info to search for a replacement. I felt like none of the measurements were matching up, plus they were expensive and local plumbing stores only offered a full new tank with lid not the lid alone. I decided to try this and am very happy with my purchase! Granted, it's plastic, but it fits, it's flat (unlike ceramic lids that are curved on top), and I don't have to see the inside of the toilet tank anymore, all for a decent replacement price. Mine sat on top fine without the screw ins, I found those hard to place and mostly unnecessary. I like that it's off white color seems to blend well with the off white of the toilet. Overall, pretty happy with it.

Affordable alternative if you cannot find a replacement lid. I had to make some adjustments to the flushing arm because this sits flat across the tank causing the arm to hit against the top when flushed.

I am very impressed with this toilet tank lid replacement . The width is just right and it's longer than the original which is great! It's like having a handy light weight shelf instead of the slippery, heavy, and useless original toilet tank cover. Also easy to take off and on because it's light weight and looks nice also. There are some extras included to make it fit tighter, but I did not need them. Thinking I may order another one for the guest bathroom even though there is nothing wrong with it. Who's bright idea was it to make them so heavy in the first place?!! Anyway, if you are needing to replace a heavy old toilet tank cover, look no farther! Price is very reasonable also.

As a rental property owner, I find this product to be a life saver. I must be unusual in that I have never broken the tank cover on a toilet in 50 years of home ownership. OK, that's not part of the review.Finding a tank cover to fit toilets manufactured earlier than 10 years before the date they are broken is a serious problem and costly when you find one. I find this inexpensive unit works well and provides a flat surface useful for toiletry item storage. Spacers and screws provided with the unit will permit you to adjust the unit so it fits fairly snugly on the tank.While not as attractive as a porcelain, the price is reasonable and it serves its purpose well.

It is not universal when it doesn't fit older toilets.

I was looking for something safer & lighter to replace my original tank lid.The bottom outer raised ridge makes a natural looking lid replacement.The raised upper edge makes a great shelf which prevents items from sliding off easily.Was happy I didn't have to replace my toilet knowing that finding a 1989 old style tank lid would be almost impossible!I thought it was a great value.And it cleans easy with a mild soap, & cold or warm water.Very user friendly 😀

The previous owners cracked our tank lid and I managed to complete the break a couple days ago. And thus began the search. This is clearly plastic and certainly no match for a china tank lid. But for the price and my unwillingness to shell out the money for a new china lid (it would cost almost as much as a new toilet!), I was willing to take a chance on this product. Oh, am I glad I did!The lid itself is a bit too long for our tank, but with the inserts that come with it, I was able to achieve a tight and even fit. The lip around the edge--which the original lid didn't have--is actually a nice feature. Now I don't have to constantly pick up the air freshener that is always getting knocked onto the floor.Is it the most amazing product in the world? No. Is it as aesthetically pleasing as china? No. Does it do the job of covering my open tank? Yes, and it does it well. This really is the next best thing to an actually china tank lid. I will recommend this to anyone looking for a lid replacement, short term or otherwise.

Not pretty but definitely gets the job done. Just a regular kind of plastic--nothing fancy. Directions are a little unclear but easy to just figure it out. You can also set items on top like a shelf if you like. The handle of our toilet does rub against the lid when we flush but it doesn't affect anything (not yet anyway). It still stays closed so I'm happy.
