Masonry drill bits made it easy. This thing is rocksolid.

Absolutely fantastic. Very easy to install. All door were protected but this one door. The door is inset so the traditional protection didn't work. This is VERY STRONG. I have never been this impressed with a purchase before. After seeing my on guard, several relatives are going to purchase one. A bit pricey but my life is worth it. I invested very wisely.

While the instructions are pretty easy to follow, I had to remove the bottom trim from below the doorframe and cut a chunk off, so the device would sit flush with the door. Added some extra time, but otherwise the installation seemed easy enough. We like how sturdy it feels when in place, and it now fits right against the door. Because we are flush to the door, it's a little snug, so we have to tug on it pretty hard to get it out, but It isn't that big of a hassle. The peace of mind is worth every penny and every extra bit of effort. We might be buying a second one for our other door, as we feel so much safer at night.

Installation was difficult, because the kit was designed for hardwood floors only. I have tile and needed additional equipment to install.

Was very easy for a hubby who's not that handy to install.

I bought but missed the return window. This is cheap and overpriced. Save your money!

The door reinforcement works great. We love the added security. However, it requires a half inch clearance and our door didn’t provide that. So we recessed it into the floor and it works perfectly.

To bad we have to live in a world like this.
