Make My Life Simple: Bringing Peace to Heart and Home

I haven't quite finished, but it won't take me long because I can't put it down. I am NOT a naturally tidy or orderly person. But I do want peace in my life and home! I love that this book gives excellent practical tips, but it's not overwhelming. It's about YOU (the reader) and YOUR family life. I also love that the author writes not only about practical order, but also brings in the spiritual side because, ultimately, all the practical aspects of your life should relate to God in some way. The book has beautiful Bible verses that are *just perfect* for this time in my life (mama of 3 kids under 4.) It has been so refreshing to read something that offers a real plan for keeping order in my home, but in a way that isn't overwhelming and recognizes the seasons of life. Will definitely be getting this for some of my friends for Christmas. This book is a GAME CHANGER!

I wasn't so sure I'd like this book because I've been reading a lot of non fiction books that are just NOT practical. And it becomes hard to put theories into practice when I have no idea how to do that.But fear not because Rachel Balducci gives TONS of practical advice in this book. From how to do laundry, what products she uses to clean, how to clean up with your kids and how to invite people into your home (even some examples of what you can serve!). It's inspiring and as I said, practical and relatively easy to put into practice.I didn't want to knock off a whole star, but If I could I would give this book 4.5 stars. Only because some chapters/stories are just a tad repetitive and it reads to me more like a blog. There are a few chapters where the same thing is said twice just in a different way. It wasn't a big deal for me because it is an easy read and does feel like you're talking to an older, wiser very practical friend.Overall I recommend this book, especially for moms with littles at home. It gives at idea of what life can look like and how seasons change as our kids get older.

I devoured this book in less than a week! So inspiring and so practical at the same time; I think I highlighted at least 50% of the book! The last few months of 2018 were very overwhelming to me, but implementing the few things I’ve already started from this book are really helping! Also, heads up to other homeschool moms-usually I read organizing/simplifying/spiritual books by non-homeschool moms and find myself frustrated by half of the advice, because our house is filled with small, mess making, wonderful children all day long, and I don’t have any pockets of time when they’re out of the house to clean, have quiet devotions, or just time to myself, etc., but I found all of Rachel’s advice and thoughts to be practical despite our differing situations!! I HIGHLY recommend this book, it may be only the second week of January but I have a feeling this will be one of my top reads of the year!

Rachel Balducci did it again! Being a mother of 5 sons I had fallen in love with her words of wisdom in her book How Do You Tuck in a Superhero? This book though was so much more, had me laughing and crying with beautiful examples and gentle motivation of how to bring more peace into my life and home. I couldn’t put it down and will definitely pick it up to read again and again during times of stress and rediscovery!

This is part coffee with a friend, part devotional, part curl up on a screen porch with a glass of wine. Rachel writes in such a way you feel like you are talking to your best girlfriend while Getting some great Insights into how to make small changes that make a big impact. Never before did I realize that the state of my home (and car And desk and nightstand) was actually having an impact on how calm I felt. The small changes that Rachel encourages me to make brought so much calm and peace to my heart! Highly recommend!

This book is extremely helpful and practical! I highly recommend it at any stage of life but especially at that point when the children are small. It gives excellent advice for building good habits going forward. Perfect gift for just about anyone you care about.

I would love to share this book with all the women in my life! It was helpful, inspiring, and moved me to both laughter and tears. It’s also not too long or heavy - it’s just right. Rachel Balducci writes in away that feels like a friend who genuinely wills the best for you. I’ve taken away a lot of happy wisdom from this book!
